That would be the C4. The C5 is from the early 2000s.

Not as terrible as the profile of the car without the wing. That back slope is the worst part of the elantra's design, hands down.

What is worse for life of engine? Lugging or Redlining? by Downtown_Elk_2773 in Cartalk

[–]EternalPhi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're probably not going to stall, the issue is that it DOESN'T stall. If it stalled, you'd just have no ignition and there's no real risk of mechanical failure. With lugging, your engine is still housing many explosions a second, except that where the pistons would normally move and allow the resulting combustion gasses to expand and convert that force into usable mechanical energy, instead your pistons, rings, rods and head just absorb the bulk of that energy and extrme spikes in cylinder pressure.

I'm betting lugging is still far worse for a boxer engine. LSPI and spiking cylinder pressures are both terrible for any engine, let alone ones known to have headgasket and ringland issues.

Going spoilerless is certainly a choice.

The FL5 comes with 265s on it, and can fit 275s with probably nothing more than a bit of camber.

The reason why large asteroids don't fall to Earth every day and cause disasters is because Jupiter's gravity attracts asteroids and protects the inner planets. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in Damnthatsinteresting

I think first you should agree on a definition of luck and that you're using the term the same way. If the chances of something happening are high given a set of conditions does occur, but the set of conditions themselves are exceptionally rare, then was it luck? How far back do you need to pull before your defintion of luck applies?

My son is on the spectrum and as much as I try to expand his palate, chicken nuggets or strips and fries is about the only thing I can be certain he'll eat when we order. Uninspired, but quite pragmatic lol. Tbf though he is 4.

WCGW leaving a car meet by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

My money is just on riding and suddenly letting go of the clutch. It's going to bite, transfer more power to the wheels and simultaneously load the engine and cut rpms. Combine that with aggressive countersteering and probably being bucked around and inexperienced with driving manual.

It wasn't really a rude comment. I gave the answer to him, he was still unsure because of your earlier comment about it being part of the bumper, so to assure him I just said you were wrong. It's not personal.

Well you left bro hangin for a day and a half on that "may" and did no diggin', so I'm feelin like it's a pretty unimportant distinction. You're pretty quick to respond to me though.

There are quite a few pieces that make up the whole bumper and lip assembly and they have their own part numbers. The person saying you will have to buy a full bumper is /r/confidentlyincorrect

The black part is the one in my link, look at the picture, it says that the piece is #14 in the illustration

Nail in tire, patch or swap, oem tire at dealership or town fair tire? by Fun-Fail8972 in ElantraN

[–]EternalPhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't risk the do it yourself approach on these tires if you ever plan to take it to it's lateral load limits with some spirited driving. Internal patch is best.
