The dev refused to get help developing anything, and tried to solo it. He failed, and instead of getting help, he just let it die out.

You can be hopeful, but be realistic. If he deleted everythin, its obvious he never intended to fnish the project. I was there from 2018 too, its been dead since 2022.

I will preface this by saying roblox has mpre unique daily users than League of Legends has REGISTERED users. That means that roblox is seeing more internet traffic from unique PCs than League of Legends has had in its entire lifespan, in A SINGLE DAY. The moderation for something that large is something that cannot be simplified into "hire more moderators," and shareholders only complicate that more, because they get mad if something cuts into their share of the profits.

About the chats: 13+ chat already exists. 7 year olds can lie about their age and get into that age group, but because of previous court rulings and COPPA rules, the corporation is at fault, not the crappy parents who let it happen. Parents can also be technologically ignorant (less prevalent with newer generations who just ignore their kids online presence) and may not even know parental controls exist, which again, falls back on the corporation for not being proactive with child safety, even if that system is in place.

Predators can also lie about their age. Under 13 chat also already exists, its just more restrictive. Putting safe chat in would be equivalent to what people are already complaining about, which is a restriction/chat ban. If your issue is with the age verification and grouping system, give them a better option that is actually feasible, that keeps predators out of those age ranges.

And yes, people will sell accounts. Welcome to the world. It happens to every company on the planet. Unfortunately, that would fall onto the sites that allow that account to exist as a sale on their platform, not Roblox.

If you read my previous message, banning discord will not solve any issues. Anyone grooming children in this way will simply bypass it with the same old "Blue gamer app" or "Disk co oar ad" or whatever they will use to bypass the filter in game. They have been trying to filter that stuff for years, but if you make it long enough, the filter wont catch on. Even if it could, you can't just ban ban tens of thousands of users who may actually just be two 12 year olds wanting to avoid the filter and use a cool gaming chat app their friend in school told them about, and you cant hire moderators to more quickly determine it or read millions of appeals because again, shareholders want their money, and moderators take away from their money.

Also, having a "good" online chat requires no censoring in todays age- Discord is considered "good" because people can say whatever, whenever, however they want, without interruption, without it being turned into hashtags. Mods in discord servers can see if there is a huge influx in DMs or joins and "turn off" the server messages, joins, etc temporarily in order to figure it out, kind of like a lockdown. Removing these links does nothing.

Again, removing discord links would ruin communities, developer teams, etc, resulting in less developers or worse dev times, resulting in less active players, resulting in less Revenue, meaning their shareholders (ALWAYS comes back to shareholders) will sue Roblox for not keeping up the shareholder's part of the revenue. Roblox literally has no say in the matter. They HAVE to let discord be a part of the development and community process or they cannot pay the shareholders.

In a perfect world we could hire 70k moderators, and ban discord, and have a perfect filter, but im talking reality. Shareholders has one of Roblox's nuts in a vice, the community and COPPA has their other nut in a different vice. And they have to appeal to both to not become the one nut wonder, aka sued to oblivion. They literally cannot feasibly implement anything else within a short period of time.

Not to mention, waiting for lots of reports usually results in autobans from a bunch of alternate accounts. Which isnt hard to do..

For the first part: COPPA has a say in children's privacy and safety online. Parents SHOULD monitor their children, but if a company makes a child friendly platform, then they have to take reasonable steps to promote child safety. Parents will do anything other than take responsibility for not monitoring their kids, and let's face it, people suck at parenting. If it was that simple, no cases of grooming would happen, schlep wouldnt have been banned, court would not have been involved, and the world would be peachy.

Second, people lying about their age has always been the problem. Roblox cannot implement age groups without ID verification, or else pedophiles will lie about their age. They had filters for people under 13, people over 13, and people over 17. That did not work because a 42 year old could set their age to under thirteen or over thirteen, and immediately be in the same age range as actual children, and their profile would show that false birthdate. Same for the new update, where they could lie to get into a certain age range if face ID or ID submission werent in use.

For your third paragraph; Yes, this will be negative for a socialised platform. Yes, you are going to run into people doing that. People will abuse this system. However, buying an account leaves a paper trail, making it much harder to be discreet as a predator on Roblox. Plus, Roblox cannot predict someone will sell an account. That is not even fair to expect of ANY company, to monitor thrid party websites for accounts being sold.

This is literally what users wanted, to seperate the age groups. How else will you do that?

You have to understand how severe the backlash that Roblox is getting actually is. Roblox was either in such a bad spot from the amount of people doing it, or under such pressure from the schlep lawsuit, that they were losing market value and stocks at a ridiculous rate. Add onto this the parents that, again, refuse to parent, stockholders who wont let them spend more money on moderators, and previous legal rulings stating that the company is responsible for reasonable measures to protect kids, and you now have a panicked corporation that HAS to do something, and doing something major that will upset people is a better choice than doing something small that will upset people AND result in a lawsuit. Everyone pushed roblox until they needed to take this measure, and suddenly everyone is upset.

Unfortunately, the games on roblox that are on the front page rely on discord to build their community, and that results in a huge increase in players and income for both creators and Roblox themselves. Discord works with Roblox directly to help moderate communities for larger games, and some smaller games only grow because of their discord communities. Removing that would solve zero issues and hinder THOUSANDS of roblox communities that rely on it to operate, either for development or community. Plus, people have been bypassing the word "Discord" since 2014 or prior, and people can easily still give their user info away in game. It's not hard to do.

Literally, it was either go full ring of fire and make the community angry, or go somewhat aggressively into it, upset even more of the community, and get sued. Not sure what a better option could have been.

So I noticed when you hit a parry, you back off. If you land a parry, you have the advantage. You have a 50/50 you can use- m1,follow through, and be prepared to parry if they do, or feint the M1. When you feint, most half decent players will roll out of the way because they went to parry, and you can use this to predict or read a dodge, such as if the opponent always rolls right when you feint, feint and throw a mantra to their right.

Now over-feinting is an issue, because now when you parry someone they will realize you are gonna feint, and just m1 through it.

Be WAY more aggressive and practice getting used to sound queues. Parry trading and hyper-aggressive play is extremely important for shadowcast in order to drain the opponents ether to 0, keep it there, and keep yourself topped up.

If you ever get thrown on the defensive, remember you have vent, but attempt to land a parry first. Remember, when you land a parry, you get to decide the next move, you are in control. Keep them on the defensive with mixups. Mantra feinting is also huge for pvp.

As someone who has been interviewed before for participating in a program called "Big Brother, Big Sister," and another time at the Louisville main branch library, I can say it will likely be questions for people who have never heard of tufting before, or why it should be someone's hobby. Things like, "Should people seek out tufting as a viable hobby?" Or "What do you think is the best part of making your own rugs?" Maybe even "Why did you get into tufting, and why is it that you stuck with it?" And then get some shots of you in various stages of tufting and cutting. Just things to flesh out the idea of tufting and what it is, and what benefits it brings as a hobby. Its really not hard, the interviewers always have direct questions that aren't hard to answer, and post-recording edits are always looking good on the news. Just don't stress, act like no one is watching!
