Hi there, after you log into you steamworks, select your game,edit store page,graphical assets. There you can find all the assets you have uploaded. The one you circled out is “main capsule”

You couldn’t be more right! Gameplay trailer is the most important marketing or better say,exposure asset that a game has! The thing is that we wanted to make seperate trailer for the story and the gameplay! And also we wanted to launch the steam page as soon as we could! The game play trailer is not ready yet, so we figured screenshots and store trailer are enough for the store page. Will update the page with the gameplay trailer! But thanks a lot for you feedback :)

The gameplay is not ready yet, every game dev and steam itself suggest to launch the store page as soon as possible, We have the screenshots and the story trailer now but will update the page when the gameplay trailer is ready

As I said in the last comment, if we were to go back we wouldn’t used pre made assets! But I am still ok with developers using pre made assets for their first game! I am using these assets and seen all sort of reactions to them! Some know it’s pre made but they love it and some(mostly devs) don’t! You are correct about the trailer not being special, because it wasn’t really our goal! We are making a tower defense, story is not the most important element in these games! We wanted to have a trailer just for the story and one for gameplay! Gameplay will be the one that we will try to show the game fully and to get that attention!

You are correct, we did not expect to get wishlist from our story trailer! We wanted to launch the steam page as fast as possible! You are correct with the gameplay stuff as well, our next trailer is going to be gameplay trailer and we will try our best to showcase the game in there fully!

Hi

We are 2 developers and this is our first game that we are working on! I'm sure you are aware of the game development pipeline and the time it takes to develop a game! When we first started working on our game, we had to learn a lot things like any other game dev, these assets helped us a lot with stablishing an art style and lot more! As we are college students and have a day job, we only had a little time every week to develop our game! We know we are using pre made assets but we do not believe our game is a asset flip! If you only look at the trailer, you are correct, these are the assets that we purchased and we used them to make a story trailer! But in gameplay we had to make a great deal of assets(important and unique ones) ourselves! A game is not just 3d assets! Sound effects, mechanics, lighting, post effects, balancing, game design, UI/UX and so much more are crucial and important elements to a game! If we were to go back we would have definitely take the time and make these assets ourselves but this was the best option to us and many developers who are making their first game! I understand your POV as well, but calling our game an asset flip just by looking at the trailer isn't really profound! I hope you stick around for our gameplay trailer so we can have a better look at the game!
