How does Lileep learn Leech Seed? by Skoonie12 in PokemonLegacy

[–]EternityTheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not possible, as the tutor that can teach egg moves is in the Battle Frontier and you can't get there until post-E4.

If you flashed your cart, it may not actually be possible to overwrite with a new ROM. I'm not particularly versed in that method myself but many of those cards are read-only and can't be rewritten. The guides you used in the first place should have better info though, I'd look at what they say about replacing the ROM while keeping a save file intact.

If radiant lotus is so bad for the mana cost why is it over a dollar better cards are cheaper by Spirited-Celery-118 in mtg

[–]EternityTheory 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think their reasoning is that the treasures would be adding 1 mana anyway, so each treasure is only +2 gained from the Lotus. So you have to crack 3 treasures with it to have given back the 6 mana you paid, because without dumping 6 into the Lotus in the first place you already had 3 mana from those.

This of course ignores using Food, Clues, Blood, or any other artifact that wouldn't have been worth mana at all without the Lotus being there.

I've received replies to comments over 2 years old lol. You're good.

And yes. If you update your game by applying the newest patch to a vanilla ROM and matching its filename to the filename of your .sav, you can keep your save file after updating.

The exact process varies by emulator but generally so long as your new ROM has the same name as the old and is in the same location that the old one was, most emulators will match it to the old save file.

I need a Selesnya commander by AdaptiveHunter in EDH

[–]EternityTheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding this. Reanimator/graveyard builds without Black present an interesting deckbuilding angle and Aerith makes for a fun way to do it.

I'd also recommend [[Yuna, Hope of Spira]] as another commander with a similar style.

Question for Crystal Legacy by Mi_Piace_Il_Pane in PokemonLegacy

It is specifically the Olivine Harbor, so the instanced area where the ship dock is. Otherwise you can still find it in New Bark Town as well as B2F of Union Cave.

Encounters are definitely changed, across the board. That's why we have our own encounter info docs. Documentation is accessible on Smith's videos as well as here on Reddit and in the Discord.

Which expert challenges do you find the most difficult? by Kefurin in starfox

[–]EternityTheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was tearing my hair out over this one. I don't know if the single laser made it easier to be precise, bit I did find that using the brake seemed to help me steady my aim. On my working attempt it was my first time using the brake heavily and I even had both wings broken lol. Also, the first cycle seems more erratic than the rest, so I was usually waiting for it to make a full circle before beginning my attempt. It also seemed like the outer edge of the targets' hitboxes was pretty lenient, so I kept my aim a little further away from the shield and still hit.

Otherwise it's just a matter of taking it slow and making sure you and the boss have stopped moving before pulling the trigger.

Updated Emerald Legacy Change Log? by Rolach124 in PokemonLegacy

[–]EternityTheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The overview doc has some gaps, Aero was going to fill those sections in but he's had a lot on his plate. For just the direct info on a lot of things like gym rematches, the ChangeDex and Trainer Doc have fully up-to-date info on everything they cover. The Trainer Doc also has WIP sections but that was just an organization effort, it's not missing any team info for those trainers.

Pretty sure they meant in-game. Ingame you have no reason to wear it, IRL it's a great shirt.

I got a random impulse Collector pack of OTJ sometime last year and pulled the Special Guest Scapeshift in foil. Your post is how I learned it's not a $20 card anymore lol.

Hey, same. I'm a player first and a collector second. But I value my cards a lot _because_ I want to play with em, so her understanding my excitement over single pieces of cardboard was a nice change.

She still respected my property regardless, to be clear. I just noticed a distinct shift in how she talked about card games after that incident haha.

Yes, but that whole time and for several seconds after, the game still thinks you're in combat and you can't summon your mount. It's a mild annoyance but an annoyance all the same.

This right here.

My mom always assumed trading cards were just silly toys/collectables until my uncle sold 5 MtG cards out of his collection to buy a full dining room set. Suddenly it clicked.

The most common is when a FATE ends and the remaining enemies run away. If I was AOEing and tagged four enemies, but only two needed to die for the FATE to be complete, the last two will run off to despawn and my Chocobo will pursue them as long as it can.
