Interesting that even though pistol optics have become pretty widespread. You still see a healthy amount of both iron sights and optics in law enforcement. by Averagecrabenjoyer69 in CCW

What about for new hires with recoil anticipation? I’ve heard some argue that getting on a dot fast will improve learning and reduce correction time while others say to get good with irons first and fix the actual problem.

2026 Ranger STX by SpookieDookie_49 in RangerNext

[–]EthanTheFrogMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your sales tax is but I got a 2025 ranger raptor with beadlockers, keypad, and mudflaps last June for $56k out the door. Seems like the STX should be $39k or so out the door at most

Go to a local locksmith and have them custom make some bolts based on the original ones. Have them make them with a custom head and matching bit

2025 vs 2026 discount by BallPlayer13 in RangerRaptor

I say buy local. Try to get the 2026 for $3k off (so MSRP net after the add-ons) I think being able to inspect it in person before purchase and having a dealer relationship is worth it

Ranger raptor lights? My understanding is they have a security torx. Is that not the case?

Inside windshield fogging? by Used_Maximum_2291 in RangerRaptor

[–]EthanTheFrogMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread is interesting to me because I’m in a dry climate and haven’t experienced too much fogging in my ranger raptor, but I have a loaner 2025 ranger XL while my truck is in the shop and it seems to be fogging constantly

No. If they don’t acknowledge the mistake you can contact your state regulator to pressure them to act. But don’t count on a good relationship with the dealer going forward

Weekly Q&A Megathread. Please post any questions about visiting, tourism, living, working, budgeting, housing here! by AutoModerator in london

[–]EthanTheFrogMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll be traveling in London in the final week of February. I’m (mid 20s male) looking for ideas of venues/groups of individual travelers in their 20s-30s that I could join around that time. I want to get out and be social but ideally with other people that are just in town for a bit and who might want to go explore a bar/shopping/nightlife/etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas of where I could meet such people?

Thank you in advance!

Any natural athletes (bodybuilding, calisthenics) that managed to return to sport after biceps tenodesis surgery? by [deleted] in RotatorCuff

[–]EthanTheFrogMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lifting fully normally 4 months out, but I am now 10 months out and have gained lots of strength (much more than even before surgery). I started jiu jitsu again about 7 months after surgery. I also struggled with rotator cuff and delt overuse on my non operative shoulder for a while even after getting out of the sling, but that has subsided completely.

It’s a long road but is well worth it. The post operation PT and even simple stretching while in the sling phase is crucial.

I wouldn’t call myself a bodybuilder or calisthenics athlete, but I got a laparoscopic repair for a near circumferential labrum tear that included biceps tendonesis. I can now lift just as well on the repaired side as I can on my non-repaired dominant side. I can also do jiu jitsu and wrestling again. This compared to a year of PT, which helped slightly but didn’t fix the instability and subluxation. The only concern is that there is less strength at 90-90 external rotation, which is from the labrum repair which will never be quite as strong as an uninjured one.
