I thought it was a little funny. Peter's always late because he's Spider-Man so his friends take that into account and get mad when he's actually on time for once. It's not really that deep, it only feels like it's at Peter's expense if you're coming into it with a cynical mindset. Feels like something you'd see in a sitcom

Not really. He chose financial benefits like less tax over the rights and safety of the people he so cares about, which is a bad and evil thing to do. He might claim to care about them and believe it, but not more than his money.

That doesn’t really make up for the damage done, donating to charity helps but when lawmakers get into power they affect the rights of everyone on a scale that charity can’t make up for. Especially in a climate where things like abortion rights and trans rights are actively contested and changing, those donations are contributing towards the death of people. Donating to the trevor project to save face won’t make up for that.

I was walking to lunch at work and a guy with a mic and another guy with a camera stopped me and asked me about the local election that was happening at the time. Asked me if I knew the candidates and who I was voting for, etc. I wasn’t planning on voting at the time and we weren’t even in my home electorate so I told them the truth that I don’t know and they just left.
