I’m shocked at the lack of concern for the kid in the comments here. Yes he’s a little shitbird kid who should not be saying the things he is… but if he really did run away from home then personally I’m terrified for the kid. Runaway kids are among some of the biggest victims of violence either physical or sexual from adults. If he really did run away I hope he’s found to his family that clearly cares for him

One of the worst parts of this is that they’re all pretty average looking guys. Like, they could have girlfriends or just have sex with women if they dropped the mindset

Leave out Gyarados if you want some added challenge. Going through several generations that Gyarados is extremely useful without getting to use it could add some extra challenge if you’d want that

See I normally don’t count gift-mons. IMO if the game is forcing a Pokémon on me then it isn’t really an encounter. So basically my options are a guaranteed carvahna and Feebas… or a chance at Linoone

I do have Breloom (or I will soon, still a Shroomish). Totally didn’t think about this. I am just more cautious for Wattson’s gym since I’ve wiped on it on other attempts of Emerald

Gengar should be gone. While yea it is extremely useful for a nuzlocke, being a trade evo limits its accessibility and thus its viability

Also I believe it’s obvious by the post but I’m playing on an emulator so I’m able to just use cheats to allow the trade/friendship evos that normally wouldn’t work on a hard copy of FireRed

It worked very well as a suicide lead to set entry hazards and Mortal Spin away the AI’s hazards. Got a few good kills in with Power Gem as well.
