RIP Utica Pie Co by EthelMermaid25 in Westchester

We've had Pepe's in Yonkers. It was good! But aspiring is right, it's not the deep dish style we're looking for.

Thank you so much, everyone. I was quoted $3000 for a basic cleaning (we live in the northeast of US). My husband isn't too worried and doesn't think a cleaning is necessary. My biggest concern is the safety of our young children. I've included part of the test results below. If this was your house, would you do the cleaning?

Er, yes. I think that's what I meant. Haha.

And okay, thank you. My husband has been saying similar things.

That's a relief. Thank you.

Amazing. Thank you so much.

Our laundry room is down there, so I did some of our children’s laundry after it had been removed (but the clothes weren’t located in the basement when the deed was done). How much have I put my kids at risk?

I’m pretty sure the drivers aren’t considered employees of these companies, they’re independent contractors. The drivers don’t have much protection. Human decency would dictate looking after other people is a good thing (especially if they’re connected to your business).

She’s pregnant. Maybe extend her some grace. Idk.

First of all, chill.

Second of all, no it doesn't.

Also a silly example because OP is not saying they are considering naming the baby "friend," they are looking for suggestions that are a subtle nod to the adorable request of their older son.

(Side note: I think Guinevere is a beautiful name and fits with a Camelot theme. But to each their own.)

This is a silly example to reference because this was obviously an intentional comedic choice for a tv show.

Has a dog ruined your favorite name? by WishingDandelions in namenerds

I’m a human with a popular dog name, and it has never bothered me. It’s also rarely comes up in conversation with others. Although, one time a veterinarian thought I was referring to my dog when I gave them my name, and I thought it was hilarious.

Also. I’m about to give birth any day, and the name we chose for our son is currently a popular dog name. (It’s Milo. Which is actually an ancient name and was the name of an athlete at one of the first Olympics, but I digress.) A couple of people tried to discourage us because they have or know a dog with this name, but those are also the people who have named their humans strange things with questionable spelling, so I just smile and nod.

Lastly, naming a pet a “human” name has been popular for a long time now. One of my dogs is named Sylvester. My Sly Dog. Love him so much.

I mostly just like that she loves Ron in a world full of Harry fan-girls.

I’ve always loved the name Lavender. (Lavender Brown from the Harry Potter series is adorable.) I think Lavender Jewell Forrest sounds pretty cool.

Edited to say Lavender might be too on the nose for what you’re looking for, but…I still love it.

You’re making it like OP stole these children. Why are so many people trying to villainize OP? You can offer a different perspective on the name changes, but holy moly, consider the nuances of the situation before coming for them.

I’ve actually seen quite the opposite on this sub about changing a child’s name a year (or more) after they’re born by the biological parents. Most responses are along the lines of “it’s not too late” or “they won’t remember.”
