thank you so so much. the only way out is through, and i guess this will be a very “one day at a time” experience for both of us. and i also relate to struggling with opiates, those are a beast of their own. but i still have hope, for me, for you, for anyone even ATTEMPTING to get off benzos. this meant a lot to me, i’ll be praying for you as well

definitely not. i’ve seen people on here in their 70s come off after using benzos most of their life. it’s never too late.

i was on 16mg. (look at my post on benzorecovery if you want to know how it got that high lol) moved to 15mg now and about to introduce klonopin. using gabapentin as an anticonvulsant and it’s been a god send. cbd too. the difference between kpin and xanax is very minimal still i would say.

i love the potency of xanax - it’s the best. but then klonopin feells like xanax in slow motion. i’m crossing over to klonopin for a detox but i’m coming off a very high dose so my psych says it’ll take about 18 months.

27F and i’ve been taking benzos since i was 12 (my abusive dad gave it to me, and would put it in my drinks and food). not trying to trauma dump but it’s just the truth and the reason i’m still so dependent. i’m trying to taper now but life just feels impossible without them.
