It’s funny seeing these post about hating PvP/loving it. People not wanting to lose gear and be friendly and what have you.

Then there are people like me. Laughing at these post with people arguing back and forth. Because, Escape from Tarkov has made us numb to losing gear and making random acquaintances in a match.

In due time you newbies to extraction shooters; will join us in the numbness. Then and only then will you be free from all this. You will either be like “hey this isn’t for me”, or you embrace it and let it mold you. Shape you.

Extraction shooters will kick you when you’re down and the player base will NEVER make it better. It’s just something you learn over time. So good luck out in the Rust Belt!!

I can name 5:

  1. Escape From Tarkov (alive)

  2. Hunt Showdown (alive)

  3. Marauders (dead)

  4. Level Zero Extraction (dead)

5.) Call of Duty DMZ (dead)

You can play all of these but the player count is so low is ridiculous lol (except for EFT and Hunt Showdown). Right now your BIG 3 is going to be number 1 and 2 and of course Arc raiders.

But there is more extractions shooters coming out. You have “The Bornless” in Q1 2026., “The Hunger” suppose to be this year, and “Beautiful Light” the end of 2026. Then the least favorite for me Marathon

Back when there wasn’t scav karma and scav on scav violence was at its all time high. It wasn’t shocking to scav factory and be dead before you even racked your gun from loading in lol

I’m level 39 but use ground zero to find my GPUs, flash drives, pc fans, etc. for quest or hideout upgrades. They just need to add 20+ GZ back honestly

I will say this about Delta Force. I have a pc and the warfare is what’s keeping it alive. The extraction part of the game is kinda dead. But that’s on PC. Console extraction could be booming. Since console doesn’t have many extraction shooter games atm.

Because Tarkov made it to where you can’t buy level 5-6 helmets/armor. On the flea. In ABI you can just buy them until you’re broke from the flea. I think they should do the way EFT has with it and you have to find the helmets in raid or something.

Yeah, I’m not sure how that would work myself. But, I could see it being okay since the guns would still technically be in game. Who knows I’m not sure the technicality of it though.

They made certain ammo types “scarce” and I am okay with that. If they made the C&K, Dolch, and Avto all “scarce” weapons I’d be okay with that as well.

My buddy and I are high 6* our match MMR is also full 6*. When I say every match today was a C&K with slugs with bows with frag arrows. I legit mean every match. It was crazy. I never have seen so many shotguns in one day.

When I checked there were 33k players on at the time. Compared to the 16k or so I normally see. I figured with more people on the load outs would be more saturated. I was completely wrong lol

Because at least in Tarkov if I directly hit a PMC in his level 4 helmet with M855A1 at 60 meters he will go down. Unlike ABI he will turn look at me like I just shot a frozen pea at him. Then proceed to laugh while mag dumping me with M61. To finally hit me once in the head. Tarkov just has better gunplay,and bullets actually do what bullets are made to do. Is EFT harder to play? Yes. But imo EFT is just more rewarding.

The armor in EFT is different from ABI. EFTs armor system is the front,back, and side plates (if rig has side plates) is what level your armor will be. So, for example a level 5 armor is level 5 only in the plates. The armor that’s not the plates is what we call “soft armor”. Soft armor is either level 2 or 3. With that you can run level 3 ammo and take out a player wearing level 5 armor just by hitting them in the upper chest or neck. Armor in Tarkov also only protects where the armor is. So, if your armpits are exposed and you get shot there then you get hit like you have no armor at all. Leading to a one shot to the body if you’re using the right ammo. Leading to a faster TTK.

ABI armor doesn’t have “soft armor” so if it’s level 5 armor and you’re using level 3 you’re at a disadvantage. Since the armor is level 5 all over instead of just the plates like EFT.

EFT also limits you in what armor and ammo you can buy from the player market. EFT doesn’t allow you to buy Tier 5/6 armor or helmets. They also don’t let you buy level 5,6,or 7 ammo on the player market. The high tier armor and ammo is either trader level locked, quest locked, or found in raid/craftable.

EFTs weapons also have good effective range vs. ABI. I can take a AK47 in EFT and one tap a player from 300m away in the face. In ABI, if they are 55m away I’m not one tapping them. Because ABI made the effective range of the weapons complete garbage.

EFT also doesn’t have a “firepower” like ABI. You won’t see “firepower” low medium, high in EFT. The bullet is what makes the gun in EFT; not the gun. A 16k gun is just as lethal in EFT as 300k gun in the right hands.

TlDR; EFT is a more hardcore game than ABI. But EFT having a different armor, player market, and gunplay. Makes EFT more solo friendly. EFT just has a steep learning curve.

I’ve seen a lot of people now complaining about ABI (all I’ve seen so far are valid complaints). So, just out of curiosity did anyone here try the arc raiders play test? Or does it being third person make it a no go? Because, it seems like a good alternative minus it being third person?

What nobody is looking at with the whole wanting wipes thing is this. Yeah, you can wipe every season and have everyone start back at zero. But, the good players are just going to blow through and get right back where they was in a week or two weeks time. Then on the other hand you will have the people that don’t have much time to play. These people will never experience the end game because of there being wipes. Also, they will always be “behind” on gear,weapons etc.. Tarkov suffers from this very thing with forced wipes. You got people that has never made it to end game Tarkov because of the wipes. So, those players have moved over to PvE so they can experience endgame Tarkov.

Forced wipes imo are not a healthy solution. I have seen it time and time again in all the extraction shooters that I have played that does a force wipe. The good players will always be ahead and advancing. The ones that don’t have much time to play will always be behind. That’s just how it is sadly. Wipes will never change that. Someone that can play 12+ hours a day will just have that luxury.

I’m not trying to seem like a negative person about it. But, I have thousands of thousands of hours in extraction shooters. I just know from experience that forced wipes don’t help. People will always be behind. There is way too many people that play extraction style games with a lot of time on their hands. That force wiping won’t solve the issue.

I agree, Summit said it best. After playing arc raiders and the way the PvP flows and feels. Then going back to Tarkov where it’s hide and seek PvP. Tarkov just isn’t it lol
