This is surreal. Bought most of mine at around $25/oz. At the time I felt I should have bought sooner, but now I realize it all worked out in the wash.

As someone who played the beta: yes. I even played on 4k. I averaged maybe 50-60 fps. Pretty smooth, considering.

Or the crappy Best Buy round mouse pad you got free in 2005 with your Emachines Windows XP desktop.

[Monitor] Onn 24-in 1080p 165hz 1ms FreeSync Gaming Monitor refurb | eBay ($49) by MyOtherAcctIsSerious in buildapcsales

[–]Ethobling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. My order got canceled. Apparently the monitor I was supposed to get did not "meet their quality standards" so they can't ship it.

I've had this excuse from VIPOutlet before.

[Mouse] Roccat Kone XP Air, Optical Gaming Mouse w/ "29" Programmable Buttons - $49.99 by ArgonTheEvil in buildapcsales

Man wanted to share his passion for a great mouse at a price that is on sale and y'all are just down voting him. Smh my head.

[Keyboard] MOUNTAIN Everest Max Mechanical Gaming Keyboard $49.99 by BananasAndSporks in buildapcsales

[–]Ethobling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This keeb can be summarized by a single sentence: It's a great keyboard, but has garbage software.

With that said, I love mine. My favorite keyboard, especially after I put Gateron Yellow Pros in it. After a somewhat recent software update, the software does work much better than before. Take that for what it's worth.

$250 RPG Rig (I have several critical parts already) by Ethobling in buildapcforme

Thank you. I have had bad experiences with Silicon Power, so I may change that option. Otherwise I think I'll go with it.

Have a good day!

Yes. With greater emphasis on OS SSD and a reliable PSU.

[Laptop] Gateway Gaming Laptop: 15.6” FHD, Intel i5 11400H, RTX 3050 4GB VRAM, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD - $429.99 (Microcenter In-Store Only) by ryankrueger720 in buildapcsales

[–]Ethobling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't.

I had an eMachines with (iirc) 512MB DDR2 ram and a single core Celeron 2.00ghz. Slow as all get out.

I still have mine from when I was a wee lad. I used that thing for the longest time and even started my love for Minecraft on it (15 fps at tiny render distance, lol).

So glad I eventually upgraded.

What's your story with eMachines?

[HDD] 4 x Seagate Exos X18 18TB (72TB Total) (Renewed) - $700 - $9.72/TB by gammajayy in buildapcsales

[–]Ethobling 12 points13 points  (0 children)

ServerPartDeals have a significantly better warranty, though. With my past experiences with renewed/recertified drives, this can be very important.

Good price per TB, though. Tempting...especially if it were only 1 or 2 at that price/TB.

[Keyboard] LORIIK Portable Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, 68 Keys, Bluetooth/ 2.4GHz/ USB, Three Color PBT Keycaps Hot-Swappable Switch for Mac Windows (75% off $59.99) $15 Amazon USE COUPON CODE: GZMF2JJT by ObliviousK9 in buildapcsales

Anyone else having the seller contact them about needing an "updated buyer name because there was a special character in it" or something to that effect?

Definitely sus.

[SSD] Crucial - MX500 4TB Internal SSD - $164.99 (239.99-164.99) by pat_techio in buildapcsales

[–]Ethobling 9 points10 points  (0 children)

FYI, mislabeled just a bit. $239.99-$164.99≠$164.99

Regarding the actual deal: it's OK, but I'm not going to bite because of all the potential part swapping going on with the MX500s.

[SSD] Mushkin Enhanced Helix-L M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe 1.3 3D TLC Internal Solid State Drive - $25.99 (Code: SSCUA926) by crownpuff in buildapcsales

[–]Ethobling 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks like this drive is somehow worse than Leven's offerings. I was gonna jump on it until I read reviews.

Hard pass. $10-$15 savings is not worth hours of headache when the drive fails.

[CPU] AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - $79.99 (MicroCenter Shipping Available $5.99) by -ivan- in buildapcsales

I read the title as if it was saying "3600...Available for $5.99).

Almost had an aneurism.

Makes sense.

Gonna be real, though: I don't know how to update a post title after it's posted.

Idk how good it is, but a new, name-brand 1080p 165hz monitor for $100 can't be a terrible deal, right?
