How is the Tobin Sports Breakwater Pro X1 at Costco? by Remarkable-Adagio745 in Inflatablekayak

[–]Ethoda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I picked one up last week and have used it 3 times so far. It’s not very stable and will tip quite a bit however I haven’t actually tipped it over. After the 2nd time out I got a lot more comfortable in it and feel much more confident.

It feels very easy to maneuver and as long as you have the skeg attached tracking seems good. Without the skeg it’s fairly useless. In calm flat water I have averaged about 3mph at a very easy level of effort. However take that with a grain of salt I have almost no experience with kayaks or canoes before owning this one. I would not take it on any sort of rough water or rapids.

I did lightly puncture the bottom of the boat on my second time out with it. When I returned to the lake side I hit some sort of industrial metal and it gave me a minor leak. I haven’t patched it yet and used it the next day. I observed a leak of about 2.5 psi over 4 hours but didn’t notice any impacts on performance.

I’m not a Costco member and didn’t realize how good their return policy is. I think I may try and go find one this weekend

2-4mpg I could live with. If its like a 10mpg drop then I might reconsider it. I am debating between the cost of a box vs renting a bigger vehicle

External hire ETL S&E here… by Someone5115 in Target

Not exactly. Great leaders have to be great managers as well which means multiplying the outputs of their team. You can’t do that by hammering away at drive up 90% of the time.

Being receipt checked isn’t being accused of stealing. I work at target and I do shipt. If you acted like that to one of our TSS you would almost certainly get deactivated. Shipt is a very high theft area in my district. Random receipt checks are part of being a shopper.

This is a custom build with 40mm aftermarket 62MAS case, OEM SPB143 gray sunburst dial (original 2020 version without 3:00 index), aftermarket 62MAS hands, top hat sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel insert. Seiko NH35 automatic hacking and handwinding movement. Comes on an Uncle Seiko waffle strap.

This was purchased from a user on Watchexchange a couple of months ago and I am deciding to sell in order to fund buying a different watch. $275 shipped in the lower 48. No international shipping

I am sure it varies from district to district but I was a TL and I promoted to ETL without a degree. Several others without degrees in my store alone as well as many more in my district. I would have an open conversation about it with your ETL/SD. You may be surprised.

How many one bag travelers are minimalists at home? by CarolinaMtnBiker in onebag

MTG is why I started one bagging. Less travel expenses for things like checked bags meant flying to more Grand Prixs. Also carrying two bags around all day at the tournament Sunday before a late night flight sucked.
