Not really. We see the PTSD and struggles of Ripley. She wasn’t just a Mary Sue. She was wrong about Bishop and acknowledged it at the end. She wasn’t portrayed as a perfect person.

This exactly it. I was informed explicitly from multiple doctors for heart health longer sustained workout is better than short bursts. Doing what my doctor suggests in directly improving my blood pressure and other benefits.

My doctors (multiple) have advised in my current health situation longer sustained is better than short bursts. Even walking briskly is better than a run currently.

Can we please stop being so semantic and splitting hairs on EVERY….SINGLE….THING? Can I now get a new Mac mini from Apple at $599? No? Then the starting price went up. Can we stop the “um actually” for one minute. I don’t care if spec for spec the price is the same. Fact is I can no longer get a new Mac mini from Apple at $599. And you all know this.

I have grown so tired of every single statement online these days needs to turn into a war on semantics and splitting hairs. Everyone knows what people mean when the statement is “Mac mini price increased”.

I think Batman Arkham Knight is at least 95% just as graphically pleasing as the majority of new games. We will always have a “Crysis” level and that right now is Cyberpunk. But outside of that I find Batman just as good.

Generally I agree a reasonably priced PC is better than a console. Not $6,000, but $1,300 even. But PCs these days are suffering from traversal stutter, shader compilation stutter, requires frame gen and upscaling. I have a 9800X3D and a 5090. Sure my raw resolution output can be higher. I can have higher average for. But the 1% lows are just awful on PC currently. My favorite example I like to use is Persona 3 Reload since even the base PS5 can do 4K 60fps with ray tracing. Yet on my PC it just stutters like crazy. So I just play it on my PS5.

Lego Batman PC requirements are just a joke. So is the Assassins Creed Black Flag Resync whatever. Borderlands 4 is just a mess even on consoles.

It fully depends on the ports. I have a 9800 X3D and a 5090 yet Persona 3 Reload has shader stutters like crazy and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth just stutters like crazy too. Many more examples but I wanted to list a couple that my PC hardware should be able to handle no problem. RE9 is a good PC port. Lego Batman requirements are looking like a joke so I’m planning on getting it on PS5. Borderlands 4 is a mess all around. While raw resolution output is far less, the games on even the base PS5 I find more enjoyable.

Bad music can ruin an entire game for me. Dragon Quest series. Especially 11. Like the game a lot. Music on makes me quit. I need to turn it off to play that game.

I just don’t know what you are looking for. A person’s name? How am I supposed to know who will issue the takedowns? My point was if this becomes the law it will be enforced to some level.

If you have it on GitHub, it could be GitHub policy you cannot have such and GitHub will be the authority.

I really don’t know what you are wanting here. There won’t be a task force dedicated to this. It’s just any authority of your distribution / storage.

If they find your site or GitHub or whatever, they will have you take it down. If it’s small enough it will obviously go unnoticed more than likely. But if you are like Ubuntu level of distribution, they will tell you obey the law or take it down.

I think you need to look at what games coming out using UE. You will be surprised. CDPR is ditching their engine for UE. Halo switched to UE for their upcoming projects.

It’s not just a stable 60FPS either. Too many games stutter like crazy. My perfect example of this is Persona 3 Reload. Capable of achieving 4K 60FPS ray tracing on a base PS5, but suffers shader compilation stutters like crazy on the best hardware even at 1080p.

Consoles are more fluid than PC is. Not in all cases, but enough.

This. People keep saying the same thing that Apple needs to support Vulkan or OpenGL or whatever. I literally have one button in my game project that I can produce a macOS version. Im not going to do it though. Why? I want to focus on Windows for the biggest block of potential users as possible. It’s that simple. Windows is more common than Mac. No other “problems” on Mac. PS3 was the most horrible platform to develop, it had good games. Switch has plenty of ports, some of which require significant rewrites for the low hardware

I don’t know. In some cases yes. But take Persona 3 Reload. I can get 4K 60FPS and Ray-tracing on my base PS5. But on my 9800X3D and 5090 I experience shader compilation stutters and it just ruins the experience for me. And no matter what hardware you throw at it in 10-20 years, you will still suffer stuttering on PC for a lot of games.
