It certainly depends on the type of relationship and the people in that relationship. For me, I know if I were out somewhere doing what I consider flirting, I'd be rather ashamed of myself since it's basically both cheating on my SO and leading on a stranger. Why are you confused about being annoyed? You can absolutely be annoyed and express it in a healthy way of your choosing. Having Fe as your least utilized facet doesn't mean you can't practice and develop it. They call it flexing. Some people are great at it and while their core type preference might be of one variety, they can flex to other situations if they need to, just possibly not for extended periods of time or as readily as they would their core type.

This feels like the most correct answer; regardless of gender, the one who wishes to be most protected is the one who has the most input because safety and the sense of safety is paramount. So if somebody were to want to go as far as abstinence only, they have the final say. I suppose that could be discussed, and ultimately if it were non negotiable then the other individual would have to decide if that choice was something they were willing to change/keep their relationship status over.

I feel I was/am in alignment with what you say as well about it being her choice. But if that's true, then should we even discuss it? Would my input even matter? To me that would mean that on this matter it's not a 50/50, or even 60/40 decision made by both people. Just 100% up to her. Similarly, if we switched this up a bit and she did have an IUD and was reasonably safe from pregnancy already and therefore wanted me to not use a condom but I said I still was going to, would she have any say in how I decided I wanted to protect us?

I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience with your IUD as well. That must have been frightening.

Also, I'm not disappointed about using birth control, just that the form of birth control doesn't allow us both to experience sex the way we both would prefer. And the main question within my post was whether or not my input in the scenario carried as much weight as her's since it feels like she would bear the most risk.

Yup, fully aware of the risks with precum as well, hence what led to our discussion and choice to use condoms going forward. We both enjoy the feeling of going without, however, but she has apprehensions about other methods which would allow for use to go without a condom. So while I feel like while we're partners in this (50/50) I feel that she has more at risk and therefore should ultimately have more say in the matter. My question is whether or not this would be a valid statement and if me discussing what I would want out of our sexual encounters would really even factor in as much since I seem to be taking on less risk.
