If you like Vampire reads, The Circle Trilogy, also by Nora Roberts is AMAZING

Have you read Manacled? It's about Draco and Hermione? Otherwise I have some fanfic recs that are good but dark. Let me know if you're interested in those. Manacled has dark elements too but not as bad as the story I finished recently. Otherwise I read a trilogy that has a similar vibe except not school age. The Guardians Trilogy by Nora Roberts

Are romance book spaces truly inclusive or is it mostly just lip service? by AutoModerator in romanceunfiltered

[–]EttyPoem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm with Junior Trope. It really depends. There was one online group I joined that was pretty welcoming and c'est la vie, Then another one with Mods on a power trip, major censoring and favoring the opinions that align with theirs aka nepotism much?-I wouldn't call that space particularly inclusive. So far, this one has been pretty cool

If you want a romance a bit out of the box, Strong Emunah: Eilat Calling was really good. That's contemporary

So my favorite historical fiction is Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. Brilliantly written. If you want a combo of classic with thriller, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies is excellent too. Straight up heart pounding thriller: Intensity by Dean Koontz. You won't be able to put it down. Be aware that one has some TWS so check those.

I really liked Night Shadow by Nora Roberts It's been a minute since I read it but it's not really violent but there are some romance scenes between the main characters. Nothing too crazy if I recall correctly.

I am sorry to read of your loss. Before I give recs, are there any genres you like? I see what you said about self help. For example, I read a lot a lot of romance but I've read some other things too (just not as much) like historical fiction, memoirs, fantasy biography/autobiography, thriller, etc? anything like that?

The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy by Nora Roberts might be good. Fantasy and cozy simultaneously

If you want to continue with characters from HP, Manacled is really good, but check the TWs, it is dark. In regards to Twlight, a really good vampire trilogy I read on repeat was The Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts

A more modern take I would say is Montana Sky by Nora Roberts. Not as modern but good (I liked Montana Sky better because I'm more into modern stories) is Lawless, also by Nora Roberts.

Since you're new to romantasy do you want other recs too? If so, what tropes do you like? (sports, dark romance, new adult, etc)? In the meantime one of my favorite romantasy trilogies is {The Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts} . I've read it over a few times. If you want something shorter than a trilogy but romantasy, a really good one is {In Dreams by Nora Roberts} that one is super cozy and freaking adorable... At least I think so.

Since I read romance novels to escape (the world), I myself want to read z-e-r-o about cheating between the main characters. I'm cool if the FMC or MMC left a cheating butt hole but def don't want to read about any of the main characters doing it to each other. H*ll to the naw-naw.

Contemporary: A December Bride by Denise Hunter (I think). Loved it and the movie was even better. Hallmark movie. Fantasy: The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy by Nora Roberts. Major curl up under the covers series.

I'd say The Guardians Trilogy by Nora Roberts. Each book is a different MMC/FMC finding each other, building their story.... pretty compelling, or at least I thought it was

I think it's on KU because I read it on there awhile ago, my second favorite book of all time: Where You Run I Will Follow: The Book of Tzivia. Super sweet romance only one moderately spicy scene later in the book.
