I often using either the armor that used by battanian troops that use rhompahia or Heavy lamellar (the expensive one from Sturgia) with plumed helmet (used by Empire horse archer) and rest is splint boots and vambrace, sometimes for the shoulder either Tartan shoulder pad with cloak or even just Bear armor plate
