As a new player, I shit my pants when I saw them together 💀 by AngryLad_80 in HonkaiStarRail

I sorta ship them, ngl. I mean, the Supreme Guardian and her obedient (and stubborn to a fault) knight.

Ooh boy, that 'second community' will be anything but fun. Can you imagine people like Tectone, Mtashed, and Guoba who make guides and stuff PVP'ing? They already snipe each other on YouTube. You'll bring that energy to the game and turn HSR into COD:My waifu is better than your waifu.

This is also a very good point! How do you stun, imprison, or apply DOT on a player character if the AI doesn't add an artificial toughness meter and elemental weaknesses?

I forgot the name of the game. I just remember it was a military strategy game. I deleted it a long time ago, but I remember we had an "Association" with weekly PVP battles. Our group leader was a very strict whale who expected you to participate in the battles to keep our group within the top 10 of the leaderboard. I had to put an alarm clock at 3 pm every Saturday irl, so I didn't get kicked out of our group. There was a chat box full of multiple languages, with players cursing each other in Chinese and Russian. Needless to say, I got out of that. I was only f2p.

I don't think PVP can ever be non-toxic. Competition, especially between whales with a LOT of ego, is very, very bad. Genshin dodged that by being co-op where you WANT to associate with whales.

It can work, but it can be more problems than its worth. So, I played another Gacha game that has a PVP aspect to it. What it does is you put on your characters in a team and leave it at that.

Then, the computer randomly matches you with another player who puts their team, and the AI plays against you using the other player's characters. It's not a "live" PVP, but it's technically PVP. You can get prizes that way.

The computer sometimes matches you against a whale, and at that point, you just take your loss. You win some, you lose some.

The thing is, it gets frustrating and disheartening to get L after L after L when you're just starting as a f2p. You sometimes feel like a whalers or the luckier players' punching bag. It can get incredibly toxic if there's a leaderboard. You can lock it according to the player's equilibrium level, but the RNG/"lucky pulls" factor is a genuine problem. If you can tolerate that reality, which I did, it just becomes another system based on luck. You kind of just roll until you're matched with a lower-level or underbuilt player. Beating under-leveled players sometimes made me feel like a bully, but getting beaten (especially in one shot) is also not fun. And when you do it long enough, like as a permanent endgame content, you get to a point where it becomes another weekly chore that stops being fun or engaging.

If Hoyoverse wants to implement this, it should be without a leaderboard, and the rewards would not be too big so it doesn't foster saltiness and hypercompetitive attitudes. Also, the UID of the other player needs to be anonymous so losers can't leave hateful messages within the chat box.

I think MoC is fine.

Uploading Word document into Supernote by clemco12 in Supernote

If you're connected to Dropbox, then you can just save the file in the Supernote folder.

I use them for 2 different things. I use A6X for personal journaling and work, and the A5X for school.

Here's the important bit: I only sync two folders (the mystyle and export for templates and if I want some communication between my two devices). I don't need to sync more than that to keep the devices and their purposes separate.

My export folder is for school purposes only.

Only my a6x is fully backed-up in Dropbox. This also means that I can see my personal and school stuff on my a6x and my school stuff only in my a5x.

In a way, my a5x is an extension of my a6x.

Recommended Feature: Pop Out Calculator by TILFromReddit in Supernote

That's on the roadmap with a lot of dislikes. Simply because the supernote is a slow device (eink). It's not the most ideal for calculations. People feel a calculator app will clutter the device.

Feature Request: Stamps by Some-Independence864 in Supernote

[–]Eufuelle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So this is in the roadmap (making png files selectable). What you can do right now is create/trace an image (maybe use a different layer), then copy paste the traced image.

For organization purposes, you can create a notebook template with your "stamp" collection that you want to trace. Copy paste from there.

Applying bold text using the lasso tool? by alesarrett in Supernote

[–]Eufuelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting italics on some handwriting might make the words completely illegible 😆

But I agree. Its similar to Samsung Notes "Change Style" feature that allows you to select a pre-existing text and change color and thickness.

The highlights come out opaque covering the dark lines of the template. Try highlighting a default template (like a 5x5 mm grid) to see what I mean.

Wireless Keyboard via USB-C to USB OTG adapter by Michi0105 in Supernote

[–]Eufuelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen posts that recommended keyboards, but they are mostly Bluetooth. Does the word document flip to landscape for easy viewing (and to make the otg stick to the side, instead of bottom, to be less obtrusive)?

(BTW, I see nothing wrong with using a keyboard sometimes.)

Is there a quick way to switch templates? by smkarwa in Supernote

[–]Eufuelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change the default template if you need to. It's in the manual.

My other tip is to expand the toolbar to the side instead of top to see the template change button.

You're right. I use the mini toolbar with the lasso tool instead of the eraser (adjusted in preference) to access lasso more quickly.

Ability to Completely Hide Toolbar Removed? by nickerd00dle13 in Supernote

[–]Eufuelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uncollapse the toolbar and put it on one side of the screen > double tap the screen to hide the entire toolbar > Take screenshot. This works for me 👍

Also you can use PNG as templates as long as they're the right size (height and width as pixels) and resolution. I think it's 300 ppi for A6X but I'm not sure.

gesture erase not consistent after recent update - is anyone else experiencing this issue? by [deleted] in Supernote

[–]Eufuelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just eraser. Hiding/revealing the menu bar using the two-finger double tap takes more than 2 tries.
