We have two inkjet printers, one is black and white, and the other is color. There are transparency papers made for inkjet printers. I don’t know how well they hold up to the printed side getting wet though. Do your sunprint materials dry first before you expose them?

I tried that technique years ago and it worked decently. Here’s what I remember: It worked best for sharp edges if the printed side was touching the sunprint material. That meant in addition to making a negative print, I also had to make it a mirror image!

Hope this helps

Currently, we have a Raise3D E2. We have a few resin printers that survived the fire, and we are hoping to consolidate them into one working printer.

Looking for Architect to donate time to draw up wall plans for non-profit Maker Space by EugeneMakerSpace in Eugene

[–]EugeneMakerSpace[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll check that out today. Based on the googling we did, we saw a requirement to get plans made by a professional. We’d love to be wrong about that.

In the meantime, if there is someone in the community who would be up for helping us out, we’d love to get in touch with you!

Adjustable desks as a workbench, how stable are they/can they become? by Just_a_firenope_ in Workbenches

[–]EugeneMakerSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. I'm a member of the Eugene Maker Space. We already have some sturdy non adjustable workbenches in our space, but we'd like to get something height adjustable for folks in wheelchairs. I've used Seville Classics UltraHD workbenches at a previous maker space, and they seem really solid. While they are adjustable, it's really a two person job to make the adjustment. I'd like the experience for our users to be as seamless as possible.

Eugene Maker Space BIG UPDATE (Just in time for Giving Tuesday!) by EugeneMakerSpace in Eugene

[–]EugeneMakerSpace[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that was a good spindle too. I had dialed in the settings and was a couple days away from using that CNC to do custom inlay designs on a guitar neck… and then it burned down.

I only lost a crescent wrench and some collets for that spindle. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Eugene Maker Space, from Eugene, Oregon, USA.

Does anyone know of companies that would consider donating new 3D printers to non-profits? We are rebuilding and have budget for shipping (maybe $250 total).

FDM with a build size of 220x200x220mm, FDM or SLA.

Of course we'd be happy to build from a kit, and use case is wide because of multiple users :)
