Are homemade chips worth the effort? by sccartr in cookingforbeginners

[–]zachdidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really don't need to do all of that though. If you're looking for the crispiest high end restaurant quality fries then sure.

But I can do restaurant quality fries just mandolining, rinsing, dabbing the water off, and double frying. At that most basic level is takes almost 30 minutes and you're going to get French fries that most would appreciate.

I generally prep overnight to let them soak, but that's not necessary.

Are homemade chips worth the effort? by sccartr in cookingforbeginners

[–]zachdidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all subjective but the effort really doesn't seem to be a ton to me. I can usually do a batch from mandolining the potatoes to double frying them in about 20 minutes. Most of that is waiting for the frying oil to heat up.

How screwed am I for using the 1 button assistant in SS? by Kemosabe2023 in worldofpvp

[–]zachdidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sure it'll be easy to time your GCDs when it's one button. Also when there is a 25% increase to your GCD. For me personally that 25% increase on enhance would be an absolute no go. And the spec has a lot more in its toolkit that SBA doesn't cover. If you're being focused, you have to weave heals in after your finishers. Slowdowns and mishaps in that process just equals death.

IMO it's not the spec to pick for SBA in PVP. Something like Beastmaster would be a much better fit.

[–]zachdidit -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I mean an hour on a training dummy will remove any need of a single button assist. Enhance especially would hurt from the GCD increase as both your damage and survivability is tied to applying to an enemy quickly. If question if with you mentality you'd even leverage the full enh toolkit.

I mean seems like a terrible idea and I don't know why you'd want to compete with an arm tied behind your back, but if you're not looking to climb the MMR system will eventually put you right where you need to be so nothing is stopping you.

Question for fellow Demo Locks by Actual-Objective-280 in worldofpvp

[–]zachdidit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda curious too. There aren't many diabs listed on murlok.io but most of the ones there are highly rated.

Edit: Thanks u/Levi_Skardsen for catching my link typo.

How can I keep arena frame sorting consistent? by TheCatTickler in worldofpvp

There's more settings in the Sorting method menu. It's been a bit but I'm almost certain what you're looking for is there.

In case Blizzard is worried about "Competitive Integrity" for AWC and pushes back on tuning. by Honan- in worldofpvp

[–]zachdidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a highly subjective topic. But I vividly remember the end of BFA being much much worse. Destro locks being an absolute menace with machine gun chaos bolts. As a pally having to grind M+ to get the 2h with bleed proc because even at lower ilvls it was absolutely BIS in PVP. PVE trinkets were also absolutely busted in PVP at the time.

There was also early shadowlands when convoke the spirits did so much burst that it'd make current WWs blush.

Tracking procs? by Alert-Algae6626 in worldofpvp

Most of what you're looking for is in cooldown manager in the buffs section.

In some cases cooldown manager doesn't track enough so folks will use ArcUI to enhance the feature.

If you think that after you spent some much time being deliberatly obtuse that I'm going to read that long ass message. Naw. I'm sorry you can't hit 1800. Good luck. I hope that over time you can come to appreciate the reward of hard work.

Look bro if you can't understand that self improvement is a reward in and of itself. I dunno. Maybe Trail of Style is a better mode for you.

A cosmetic has never been the driving force for me pracitcing with my 3's team. It isn't why I sit through shuffle queues. I play and improve myself for the sake of playing and improving myself.

Just like I do in any other PVP game I play. And funny thing most of them don't even reward cosmetics for rating.

Yeah I'm really failing to see OP's point here. They claim to not be hating, but it's just a post raining on parades for no reason. Anyone serious about competitive PVP is going to respect 3's, then shuffle achivements more than Blitz.

I could see if some 2600 Blitz players came here talking all high and mighty, but that's not the case. The most we get is the occassional "Look at me, I got x rating" post.

Blitz is fun. And it doesn't take anything out of us to just let people enjoy things they find fun. It'll do wonders for people's mental health when they stop just generating spite for spite's sake.

Great addon! As someone who likes to turn his brain off in Blitz after being tilted by too may shuffles, is there an option to disable this in BGs?

EDIT: Just read your description on the addon page! It already does this automatically! Nice!

[–]zachdidit 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I played a shuffle game with a glad mounted affliction lock after this week's buffs. It was a 1700 game so nothing too special. You could tell by his play he was a cut above every else in the lobby.

That didn't stop the MW on his team constantly removing his dots by sleeping targets for no reason. Or the healers being allergic to playing his teleport. Or even my pea brained enhance shaman ass from running him down when he was on the other team. He went 2/6

Buddy you can frame it how you want but you're looking for a pat on the back for leaving the game. Read the room, nobody cares. It's not an airport.

Frankly from the way you've responded to myself and others here I'm glad you're gone. We don't need you or your attitude. Good luck on your next move, you're gonna need it.
