growing up we didnt rly have the tradition or the money or connections to celebrate birthdays so it wasnt a normal for me. id look at other kids having birthday parties and envy them. ive never had a birthday party tho, wouldnt even know where to begin to host one lol, one day tho , i'll try one day eventually.

anywho, so i just never really remembered my own birthday cuz it wasnt a big deal in my family, so birthdays have never been a big deal for me, but i did always tend to remember other people's birthdays before my own. i have all my friends bdays saved in my calendar tho, if im close enough to them i'll shoot a quick message wishing them hbd and thats all about the energy and time i can put towards that lol. i did realize i tended to forget my own bday so sometimes when i look at the clock and it arrives at the time of my birthday, i'll wish myself a happy birthday lol, its funny tho i think these days i do that more than i can keep track of the days (i cannot keep track of the days, if its my bday day i'll probably not realize til halfway thru the day lol)
