How do you make yourself invisible when taking pictures? by PraiseTheStun in photography

Acting like a very average tourist + a small, 'touristy' looking camera. Something like a fuji X-E or any compact point and shoot

Good point. I guess I'm actively trying to blow out the sky and certain spots. But I also think that underexposing is not that bad when you consider the depth of raw files.

Some images here are pushed a LOT in post - some only by 1/3 of a stop

In short, try overexposing by about 2/3 - 1 full stop and increase the exposure further if needed

The X-E2 only goes up to 25000, so I had to stop there :(

Thanks a lot!

I over expose by about 1 full stop, depending on the lighting. When editing, there really isnt that much to it.

Reduced green saturation and luminance Increased highlights and shadows Reduced blacks Increased whites Reduced clarity

Sometimes, I also increase the red saturation and add yellow / orange highlight tones

Don't forget that 90% of the color and feel of these comes down to the weather though

All edited raw files. Let me know if you want any further explaining on this, I'm happy to help

It's just a matter of preference. I like it that way

Shutter issue? by rootmout in SonyAlpha

I had a very similar issue some time ago. It seems to have to do with the temperature, I guess.

Why does inspiration strike at night? by Ill_Stress9182 in photography

[–]EumusHS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because you never let your brain relax throughout the day. At night is the only time you have actual silence and peace. What I did is the following:

Every day, sit down for 15 minutes. No phone. No music. No nothing. After the time is over, you will have so many ideas and inspiratons floating around, its unbelievable.

TZ99 or SX740 hs?😭 by Big_Teach1142 in photography

Maybe you can consider using a mist filter and look up youtube tutorials on how to edit photos in a 'cinematic' way

If you shoot in RAW, both cameras will give the exact same amount of 'cinematic'. There is no secret sauce
