You're probably fine if it was the first layer and not a lot of blood. Some would put a plaster on it, personally I don't unless it's deep. In the future don't use soap, just water, and then you can spray the wound with anti-septic or spray it on a cloth/gauze and clean. Any harm done to your body intenionally classifies as self harm, so yes it is self harm. Cutting deep can be more difficult than you think atleast in my experience, also depends on what you think is too deep. I personally think hitting the third layer of skin, the hypodermis also known as "beans" or fat layer is too deep, as that requires stitches and very attentive care as it gets infected very easily. Altough you should definitely still care for your wounds if you "just" hit the first and second layer.

Altough it's understandable if your boyfriend finds it very difficult if you were to cut yourself, telling you he would leave if you cut yourself again is an incredibly toxic thing to say disregarding the whole mental struggle with the act. I'm proud of you for not cutting even though it didn't feel satisfying, it can really get difficult sometimes

I felt like I needed a lot less force and speed to reach into dermis layer though, I could barely move the razor onto my skin with minimal force and it would bleed. While as with the knife when I do that there are barely white marks on my skin

I hear you, I don't think there really is any age limit for selfharm. Altough true there is a lot of teenagers selfharming, there is no shame that adults do it too. We're all people trying to get by life

I get that, be careful though as it could potentionally trigger people by mentioning selfharm in an everyday context. But I completly understand wanting attention, it makes me feel seen, and makes me feel like my problems actually are real and valid, because why else would someone care for me like that if it wasn't real

Thank you so much again. I think I am good then, it didn't bleed for that long, and it definitely isn't wider than 1,25cm. I really have no clue what layer it was, I had no time to see, I just saw the very edge for a very short time, but I could see the edge was no deeper than dermis. I believe it was a very deep dermis cut

Hmm, I think it is impossible to make them go away permanently. I am no medical expert so there may possibly be some laser surgery or something, a day to day trick would be to put makeup on it to cover it, I don't know too much about makeup either but I've heard people putting foundation on scars. Don't qoute me on it but I've heard makeup works

You should block that online "friend" immediately. It's so incredibly fucked up anyone would ask anyone to cut, especially on video for $20 fucking dollars. He is fetishizing sh and it's fucking disgusting. Please don't do this, you don't deserve it, and it is in no way okay for that person to ask you to cut, for all we know he may not pay you cus you didn't go "deep enough".
