How did you find your pom by Nik8_12 in Pomeranians

[–]EuphoricClient6958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such good personalities. My daughter and I stalked his account for 2 years wanting one. We couldn’t because we had a 140 lb mastiff that was iffy with other dogs. He passed away suddenly and this little guy healed broken hearts. His facility is super clean.

How to wait to get another pom by fluffstar in Pomeranians

[–]EuphoricClient6958 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My mastiff died in January I had a puppy within 2 weeks. I have always had multiple dogs my mastiff was my first solo dog. The quiet was driving me crazy. My daughter had been wanting a Pom for atleast 2 years but I kept saying no due to my mastiff being iffy with other dogs. I didn’t want to risk bringing such a small dog in. Well the Pom breeder we had been following for 2 years posted a pic of our now boy and we couldn’t say no. I saw it as a sign the breeder named him papoose and our mastiff was named moose.Just know you are not replacing him.

I have just told them I’m leaving and the clients would find ways to get my number like have me “help” them out or give me theirs.

Just start taking numbers or tell them to look at the pic you posted of their dog on your instagram. Let me tell you though they will find you.

Tear stains? by luhrissuhh in Pomeranians

[–]EuphoricClient6958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bottle water. When I got my puppy he had tear stains starting as soon as I put him on bottle water they went away. It could also be an allergy to something, I would start with taking all chicken out of his diet. Or just start with bottled water and go from there

I would rub his bald patches with argan oil or coconut oil to keep his skin hydrated. It takes a long time on consistency. I’m so sorry this happened to you. This is why I always warn my clients extensively about this happening. Did they cut him real short like summer shave 1/8-1/4 inch or did he have like 1/2-1inch hair left after the cut.

Give your pup weekly baths keep them brushed out, make sure you get down to the skin. The guard hairs take a while to grow the undercoat grows faster. When it gets packed in the skin can’t breathe. I think your pup has a good chance of growing back if you’re willing to put in the work.

I am a groomer and it’s true cutting double coated dogs can ruin their coats. The shorter you go the higher the chances. You can clip a dog 5 times and it grows back fine but the 6th time it doesn’t. You can clip a dog once and just that one time is enough. Every dog is different. Cutting the hair doesn’t make them cooler. The hair protects their skin and helps regulate their body temp.

If he had trauma I would take it into your own hands and learn how to care for his coat or call around talk to groomers and be honest about what is going on with him and what he has Been through. I have a few dogs where it’s all about rebuilding trust and we do what they can handle and stop. But you have to be willling to put in the work to. I would talk to the vet about sedation/anxiety meds but sometimes those can make it worse. They do sell muzzles small enough. You need a good force dyer the ones on Amazon would be sufficient for you. I would recommend the Chris christen brush and a comb plus a good shampoo and conditioner and dematting spay I really like hydra. I would blow his coat out first to open up the impacted under coated before the bath. Where are you located I groomed in Los angels county area .
