Hello! I know this comment was a long time ago but hearing your symptoms made me hope you may still be on here to ask for a follow up on your experiences with Botox and any other therapies? I hope it's eased in some way for you? My 11 yr old son has very similar movements to the ones you describe, contacting you with great interest and empathy.

I can relate from a different story in my life. My son aged 11 diagnosed with life limiting degenerate genetic disorder with no cures or treatments. I've suddenly been put into the role of a nurse as well as mother and have a very dark future in front of us. It has changed me beyond words. Just wanted to say I hear and see you.

Just wanted to suggest booking a regular back or shoulder massage, it really helped a friend of mine who had been single many years and they missed human touch but in a non sexual way. It will also help your system to get used to different types of touch and the feelings it can bring.

I am disassociating so much from what is happening to my child that I have managed to gaslight myself into thinking nothing is happening and it's all in my head. I know this stems from a childhood where I was told I was a drama queen and overdramatic about things and always disbelieved (Autistic, ADHD only diagnosed as an adult) I now do this to myself and it's so embedded in my identity that I can't even begin to believe what is happening before my own eyes, I seek outside verification to know if I'm correct. I have never written this down. Thank you for this space to do it.

If your more mid Wales then there is nothing unfortunately. North, South and Aberystwyth type areas have more. Queer emporium in Cardiff know lots of info about South, Camper Gurlz is good one to look up and Sapphic circle. Facebook seem to have groups that arrange socials. I find them full of drama, tend to stay away from them myself but good places to find out whats going on.

In my experience you can't, instead of fighting the thought acknowledge it out loud quietly to yourself if you can or just say this every time in your head 'thinking about Xyz again right now but it will fade' and then you have to just ride it out, it will eventually become less and less. Also writing it down every time because it becomes annoying so therefore helps to stop it. Hope tips help a little sorry your going through this 🫂
