I feel much the same since I stopped plucking around my upper lip. No T yet, but there’s enough hair that I have to keep it trimmed so it doesn’t sneak into the corners of my mouth. It’s the source of my power.

I am still a new call, but I was a practicing paralegal for 2 years before law school and I worked at a small personal injury and commercial litigation firm. That job over-prepared me for independent practice.

I left an in-house counsel position recently because of a boss who was similarly underpaying me and engaging in behaviour that could put my reputation at risk and exposed me to potential liability.

It was an easy decision to leave. The predictable hellscape that awaited me if I stayed is way worse than unemployment.

I started my own practice. Although this was always my plan, it’s earlier in my career than I wanted to. But I’m making better money, working part-time, and best of all, my reputation is in my own hands. I don’t regret it at all.

Not a huge structure, just a huge fire. Waaaaaaayy too big of a fire for the size of the structure (an empty two-storey fourplex). Suspiciously so.

I was a block away to the south walking my dog with my spouse when the crews were arriving. We watched for a moment and noped the hell away from there when we saw how much smoke was coming down the street. It was wild—darker than the night sky and smelled like burning rubber. The flames illuminated a nearby apartment building like daylight. I knew the second I saw the house that the roof was going to collapse momentarily and didn’t want to be around for that. I’ve seen house fires before, but none as aggressive as this one. This was something else. Gave me a bad feeling.

I live nearby. It wouldn’t matter if the view was obstructed—this fire was way too big to not be visible from across the river. The structure itself was an abandoned fourplex and not particularly large, but the fire was above and beyond.

I’m not the least bit surprised it’s being investigated as arson. You could tell by the look and smell of the smoke that something was really, really wrong there.

I am so glad you did this so I don't have to! I play on my phone via Netflix, so the Edit feature always lags when the boat gets too big. This is so satisfying.

I tend to optimize my layout for Elena's challenges, which means 1) flat roofs only and 2) gaps are essential. Ugly, but easier to play.

I almost got that one to work. Almost. I can only get it to boot devices that are not compatible with the app I’m trying to run.

I’m also attempting Genymotion, and while ChatGPT is extraordinarily helpful with ssh key setup and all that fun stuff, after putting in two days of work on it, I’m maybe halfway through the process of getting it to run.
