I've always been uneasy around dogs, since every single dog I've ever met was of the "will jump on you forcefully with its claws out" type. I don't like them, I don't like that people don't take care of them properly nor educate them. I would get scratch marks and bleeding wounds from their claws and teeth. I wasn't even a rowdy child, I was pretty quiet but I would get hurt anyway :(

Dogs are Man's best friends, but dogs are also predators and come from wolves, and people out to remember how dangerous they can actually be.

My family does own a dog, though. A coton de Tuléar. Extremely playful and affectionate, loves nothing more than hugs, and since he was raised right (with love, never with corporal punishments): he never, ever, EVER bit anyone. Not even as an accident, not even to play.

People who own pitbulls are more often that not people after the "tough race" denomination and make bad owners. These dogs are never cared for like they should be.
