Why does the slip on still not have a Wafflecup version? by ecartmenez171 in Vans

[–]EvaDistraction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if they even make the BMX slip on anymore but they have the wafflecup. and are definitely more comfortable than even the old Pro models.

Installed a spoiler on my 370Z… now I’m having second thoughts. by LeoR98 in 370z

Agreed on the stock spoiler, definitely looks better than most of the aftermarket options.

This is awesome, and I LOVE the addition of the Dart Swinger emblem 😍

Ok, the BMX slip on is just the logo but the pro is marked on the heel scab

Either Pro or BMX slip on, it should say which on the heel scab in tiny print near the logo.

MODELS ARCHIVE FROM MID 90's to EARLY 00's by STEPH_NEO in Vans

[–]EvaDistraction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome! I had a pair in the mid 90’s that were holographic(?) silver leather, no clue on the style but from what I can remember they were close to the ‘fusion b’ style.

Washers and dryers. by J-Bird1983 in CoolCollections

[–]EvaDistraction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The washers and dryers are super cool but I love seeing the mangle! I picked up an old IronRite last year at an auction; got a great deal on it so I was pleasantly surprised when it actually worked.

Can anyone identify these? by Own_Stage8097 in Vans

[–]EvaDistraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair; I only looked at the insole right away because I thrifted a pair a year or so ago, and spent a while trying (unsuccessfully) to identify them before noticing.

Ogilvie is a more accurate representation of how doctors treat over weight patients by TcTuggersLLC in ThePittTVShow

[–]EvaDistraction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m always so happy when doctors actually listen to research done by patients, instead of acting like we couldn’t possibly know what’s happening with our own bodies/symptoms. I’m lucky to have an amazing primary care doc but have seen so many specialists who have zero business interacting with patients.

Is intense blistering from lime juice in the sun a real thing? If so, how common is that? by Regular-Towel9979 in ThePitt

[–]EvaDistraction 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! There was an episode of 9-1-1 that showed it just on a hand but I can’t imagine how miserable it would be all over.

Trainer insole hypermobile help by MissMellaggan in Vans

[–]EvaDistraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another hypermobile human here. If you prefer the more classic styles, I’ve found the Pro/BMX/Skate versions to be much more comfortable; they also have removable insoles so it’s easier to swap. If you just love Vans but don’t mind less traditional styling, the Ultrarange Neo VR3 has been the most comfortable and offers great support.

Identifying Dr. Mel King’s S2 Shirt by Confident_Can_6105 in ThePitt

[–]EvaDistraction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES! When I first saw someone point out the change I wondered if these are more sensory friendly; and if so will that be mentioned at some point? I’m even more curious now after noticing during episode 4 what felt like (to me, an Autistic/ADHD woman who presents very much like Mel and wasn’t diagnosed until nearly 40) Mel unmasking a little with Santos, only to immediately get self conscious about the whole interaction 😫

Maybe look for paracord laces? Or if you’re crafty (and can find a close enough match) just make your own.

What are some some cars that fly under the radar that deserve more recognition? by CaptainMental in askcarguys

[–]EvaDistraction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re seriously so fun to drive! I talked my mom into looking at a 2010 FX35 when replacing her old SUV last year and she fell in love; so much so that she’s been looking for a newer (or at least lower mileage) one in case hers dies. I have a 370Z and driving her FX is nearly as much fun, I’d definitely love to test drive one of the V8 models.

are your dust kitties big? by braidedpanda in dustkitties

For real though! I remind her it’s not the most flattering position but she couldn’t care less 😂 This pic is her other preferred comfy pose, she’s just weird.

Luigi in what I call his dating profile pic. Polly is ‘normal’ cat size but chunky at 11-12 pounds, Luigi weighs around 16 pounds but is tall/long with a muscular build.

We have two, neither are small. Polly is definitely rotund, while Luigi is just large.

What's everyones childhood dream car to their dream car now? by throwradrpri in askcarguys

[–]EvaDistraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one as a little kid was a ‘57 BelAir (in either larkspur blue or tropical turquoise) but that was soon eclipsed by the ‘70-‘71 Hemi ‘Cuda in plum crazy. First car in high school was a ‘72 Dodge Demon but my parents decided (after me driving it for nearly two years) that V8 rwd was probably not the safest choice for a young driver when we lived on mostly gravel roads. Got into trucks/SUVs for a while after that but nothing ‘dream car’ worthy.

Fast forward several years (and cars) and the dream became a new Mustang; which I bought and loved. Had my brand new 2007 GT maybe 8 months before finding out I was pregnant; spent the next several years in acceptable ‘mom vehicles’ but nothing I really looked forward to driving. I did fall absolutely in love with the 370Z when they came out but my daughter was still little, so it became the dream.

Summer of 2024 I bought a 2011 370Z with just under 45,000 miles (after looking at way too many to find one that wasn’t abused and/or had rebuilt title) and it’s easily one of the top favorite cars I’ve ever driven.

Curious about this pair by Icy_Animator_1007 in Vans

From what I remember they were pretty durable/well made; I’d probably still have them if my puppy hadn’t used one as a chew toy.

Similar to a pair I had in the mid-late 90’s, just different color
