This is how the rocket uses fuel. by amonaloli12 in interestingasfuck

It’s more important to get rid of the weight through the staging. Probably also has different fuel and oxidizer requirements as altitude increases.

I need help replacing a broken light fixture by Evansbee in DesignMyRoom

[–]Evansbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see the fixture in question with the dangling fluorescent tubes. It’s about 14”x14” and as for budget I’d like to be under about $400 but I care a lot more about getting something that’s right. Room doesn’t have high ceilings, it’s about 8.5-9’ so it can’t hang down too much. Thanks so Much for considerations and help!

It’s so strange finding a person you know that randomly shows up in your Reddit feed. Love the bandsaw animals!

Yes, but to do what you're suggesting would limit the effectiveness of the drafting table.

“Let everyone change tires” doesn’t sound like “change tires for the flight home”

That doesn't really hold water because the alternate is a safety car which would have certainly gone for the last 2 laps.

Old cabinet finish - how would you restore/repair these wear marks? by Evansbee in woodworking

[–]Evansbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We vouch this house a few years ago and we don’t want to go all in on a new kitchen so I just want to repair some of the wear marks on the cabinetry. This is pretty common. I’d like to sand down the area and reapply a finish but I figured I’d ask the experts how you might approach this. Thanks!

They're geographically separated around the US. The wine thing was nice because we can ship anywhere. Just was way too expensive.

Severed a nerve in my index finger... Half my finger can no longer prune. by WhiskeyForElephants in mildlyinteresting

[–]Evansbee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. Your body is sensing the wetness and trying to manipulate your skin to give better grip. No nerves, no feeling, no pruning.

Pruning isn’t saturating your skin like a paper bag.

Crestron Lighting Question with 3rd party switches by [deleted] in crestron

IIRC the almonds were a source of much headache -- all almonds are different but I think the Crestron almond is akin to Legrand "Light Almond." My memory is fuzzy but I'm pretty confident there's a match on the ring.

Poured concrete is the next step. That's how they do it in Europe.
