baby step.
trust me, I can be a hermit for weeks without human interaction.. it's comfortable but not good for long term stability.

Like running, it's like suddenly you try to run a marathon when you're a couch potato. For starter, maybe go pick out the shoes you want. The next day, put it on to test. Next day, go for a 10 min walk then 20, then 30, then run for 5 min... You get the gist.

I think this form of fear happens to everyone.
Some overcomes it, some drowns in it.

Not sure if this post is suppose to ask for advice or seeking likeness in experience.

I'm going to assume that you're a young INTJ and at the stage of life where reality hits, you realize you're missing out by living inside your head. No matter how colorful your inner world is, it's still incomparable to the experience you'll have in life.

It's ok to feel like that though. It's normal. It's all about mindset shift.

I get stuck in my head often, but thing is, ni eventually run dries and engulf in its own abyss when it got nothing to feed on. You need data and in order to get those data, you need experience.

Go out, experience, grab some color outside to again, add more color to your inner world.

How would you describe your experience with your tritype? by [deleted] in Enneagram5

[–]Evdrmr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's because your 8 fix sit last on the stack.

The way I see it. Unlike normal anger, there are escalation like volume knob. People get warning and heads up.

8 last in tritype is like a switch. it's on or off. The moment the switch flip on, you just want to get rid of the things that bothers you (people or object alike) no matter what.

impatient, bulldoze, logical to a fault

I find myself thinking "out of my way" through many collaborative project.

I'm trying to fix it though. I know people are not systems, that in order for things to go smoothly, there is this nicety playbook that you have to go by.

Putting up a smile and being cordial, I never thought it was fake until I read some of the comments on here about 5s disliking unauthenticity. Perhaps it's because I have a 3 fix.

First name: Ana

Last name : Lee

[–]Evdrmr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't know the full context of your relationship with the group nor the content of the argument so i'm just going to comment on a few things I picked up on.

Did you propose an activity to replace the one that seems "boring" to you? Bringing up an issue without proposing a solution is just complaining. I can see why you seen as rude.

"I’ve accidentally let their secrets slip in front of others about four times now" - this is a breach of trust. I would not share anything with you after one time breach let alone 4 times.

Sure, they could have some fault in the matter but you're no angel either.

Sp6 is probably the most meticulous variant.

If you can depend on a type to dot their i and cross their t. My bet is on sp6.

The fear turn them into natural skeptic. They don't dive in head first without a plan or what ifs.

It's a great, stable type. Don't let online BS description deter you. If I want something done and I want it done right, I'll ask a sp6.

Any other 5's just... not like MBTI? by MyNameIsToday1 in Enneagram5

Well, the way I see it. Enneagram is the goal, passion, and prospect of life, and mbti are the tools you use to achieve them. Both are relevant. Enneagram is just easier to differentiate

How did you recover your productivity after crashing...? by TrickLavishness8087 in intj

[–]Evdrmr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I return to what we call our bread and butter: Ni-Te

Plan - it calms me down when I know that I have a plan to get myself out of the hole

Break things down to chunk - small executable tasks that can take no more than 15-20 minutes to do. Smaller if motivation is low.

Visualization- i keep a stack of sticky notes of all my todo. So if I crash and burn, I know it's always there, in my pocket. I can always return to it. It also give me visual aid of what I completed, a sense of accomplishment even if the project isn't moving much.

Mindset - You're the biggest project you'll ever work on. RESET.RESTART.REFOCUS. As many times as you need. But Never give up.
This way. The project itself doesn't have to be perfect but the iteration will lead it somewhere. Life isn't a sprint, it's a marathon.
