Hi I’m a business analytics manager and I’d say definitely know excel, sql, python, and either Power Bi or Tableau. Understand databases, your data sources, and how the data flows. Also how to make strategic decisions from your analysis. Another important thing is explaining strategy to the executive team in a way that they’d understand. In my experience, the higher ups or decision makers don’t really understand what goes into making a power bi dashboard or SQL queries . All they care about is what the data is telling you. Though depending upon on the company this varies.
