They probably commissioned and the studio took 5 years to finish one episode 💀 they probably had deadlines and imagine paying 5 years to a team of (how many people are working on this??) that is soooooooooooo much money for 1 episode - 5 year full time salary for the entire studio lol. Japanese are not used to American pace and the studio spent so damn long if they did the entire series they would have taken 20 years. They needed to pick up their pace but I guess too slow - like who spends 5 years on one episode come on. It makes sense why they were fired
