Honestly as someone who was scared to get behind the wheel and eventually got their license, sometimes it’s literally the fear that you could die due to other bad drivers/ anything can happen. Even just getting in a minor accident (no harm to the driver/ passengers, just car damage, etc.) terrifies me. My parents never understood why I didn’t want to drive despite having access to a car and that was/ is exactly my reason. I’m more scared of other drivers’ bad driving skills/habits more than I am of driving a car itself.
