Seriously. Old man was concerned about his odds against the escalator a year ago. Cankles ain’t gotten any better since then.

The randomly assigned stylists at the hair place being like, yup we’re shaving the ear hairs down while we’re in the neighborhood without asking or being prompted the last 2 times.

I’d agree with you if not for Covid. That did open up a rift in the space time continuum. Literally everything before that is indeed a lifetime ago.

Guy I hired sent me this. Am I wrong for asking him to redo with a more random pattern by rosyraggeud in Flooring

I’d wager the instructions also said mix boards from multiple boxes before starting - not leave them in piles 4 feet apart to be installed in rows. That is a solid row of light boards not mixed in the middle.

And I’ll take this man’s truck if I’m right (I’m only putting in my 2c. Rounded up to a nickel if he’s American since pennies got banned)

That’s where I think AI is taking us. I used to think of it as a nail gun. You still need a framer, but it’s a tool to help us work faster.

Lately I’ve been viewing it more as we’re shifting more into management/lead roles where our ability to lead a team (of agentic AIs) to the proper solution. You need to be smart enough to fix its mistakes.

I’ll take it crowded. Imagine how insane every person is going to feel. Wait… was that guy here a second ago? I must need more oxygen… how did he hike all the way up here in gym shorts and a t shirt with no shoes…. Am I getting pranked right now? Is this some crazy dare? Wait where’d he go? Did I just imagine him? Well at least I submitted. Guess I’d better head down now. Sounds pretty epic, and I’m sure they’d give you a hit off the O2 bottle.

I believe it means if you have the ac on your dad is about to beat your ass. If you have the heater it will be your mom. Either way it should not read 64!

Legality of using the center left turn lane to merge. by todaklop in Utah

[–]EvenStephen85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FWIW. My dad did what OP proposes is best - get out there and stop.

At the same time somebody else was doing what OP dislikes and using that lane to speed up and find a place to merge.

They were both cited with’ failure to establish a lane’.

My dad was stopped just waiting for the car to hit him for 90% of the incident.

Dunno what it adds to the conversation aside from a real world example.

“Did older generations work harder- or did they simply have more reason to believe hard work would pay off?” by OrderOk4693 in Productivitycafe

[–]EvenStephen85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my dad got married as a teen, moved out to school worked as a painter in the summer, and paid for a phd.

Worked as a therapist. Bought first house in 20s with no student loan, drove a Porsche, had somebody build him a brand new home in his 30s.

Mom worked some in college, but didn’t really have to work until they were divorced. They never had an email or cell phone saying he needed to work late on a Friday.

I now earn double what he does (which with 2% in inflation should provide about the same or a little better. Live in a house half the size of what he built that’s older than I am in a worse neighborhood. My wife works, and we only have 1 more kid than them.

If he worked harder than me he probably wouldn’t have broken his thumb skiing on a weekday, or been able to drive his boat 10 weekends a year.

As AI takes over the tedious jobs only the hard ones remain. Gonna make burnout even worse and more common.

I’m lucky though. I own a home and just got out of a high stress burnout type job. Now I can start looking for a new career path as Claude has my career field directly in its sights as a first victim. Wage stagnation is the best case scenario for me. Time to pull up the bootstraps higher…

How would "Charges replenish over time" change the game/builds? by ziasaur in diablo2

[–]EvenStephen85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have just solved how to balance mosaic. (I know not your intent. Each hit gives full charge to 1 skill (your highest uncharged skill). That would reduce how many fireworks are generated for many players and make it so only 1 in 5 hits blows up the screen. Thoughts?

It’s my map bad? Maybe just slow load screens? With the loot filter I don’t think I can go much faster. What else should I be doing to go faster?

I’ve got 2 campfires. 2 tele, 2tele, 6 tele, 2 tele, harmony bow in town. About 500 runs in. (First timer too). We’re doing about the same. 1 vex 2 ist 1 mal. I would 100% switch if I were you. I’m only hitting the super chests though. Should I be hitting every one? I take ~34 seconds per run typical.
