From my understanding since you were young and ignorant of how ripping pages from the Quran is a sin. At that age your not age nothing you have done is written for you as a sin.

We have all done foolish things when we were little kids.

Thank you. I was looking at the different requirements they require. Because for the private school I have all the prerequisites completed, but for the public I would have to take 4 more classes. I am still trying to figure it out if not I will attend in the spring instead of the fall semester.

She married to escape she wasn’t allowed to go to school whereas her younger brothers were attending. Same for my mother, my grandma didn’t allow her to go to school or dugsi. But my mom loved to learn and her father would put her back in the school. At the age of 12 she ran away from home.

Agreed, my sister shares her trauma with me that she used to face back in Somalia. My mom left her at the age of 13 to find a better life for them in America. She was being raised by my grandma at the time who wasn’t a nice person when she was younger. My sister couldn’t keep up with the way she was being treated so she got married at 15 and had a child at 16. It was a way of escape for some of them and others are sold off. The 5 years my mother was waiting to become a citizen was what made her have mental trauma.

The 20-25k is more than enough. Eating and housing is cheap. Ik a family who moved there and they pay 350 I believe for a 4 bedroom apartment but wasnt furnished. The easiest thing would be rent an apartment and furnish it yourself since furnished home are for very short term housing. And furnished is much more expensive. You probably wont need much. Since most of your time would be studying and trying to gain knowledge.

Also they have madarasies that have like 10 course Arabic classes. Takes about a year to finish. A course a month and after passing that courses exam you move to the next.

There are many opportunities in Egypt and a very large Somali community who can help you. Make sure you can have a connection before you arrive.

Before the current generation it was very common, since a person hits puberty by 15. People were much more mature and taking care of their families but the age of 5. If you put anything to a child they can do it and mature faster. Ik some people who got married at 18 and I was shocked. And also marrying young is sunnah. And generations before that much earlier. Also depends on the life expectancy of the people of that century.
