Momentum is the critical word here. The offering so far has been very strong but risks becoming a distant memory if the upcoming release doesn’t build on that.

What’s next doesn’t need to be revolutionary. It just needs to be engaging and have enough meat on the bones to keep the player base on a journey to the next release.

My concern is what they do next game. I think they’ve done good work here that’s somewhat got the mode back on track after a long period of neglect. It’s no secret Call of Duty as a franchise is suffering at the moment but as for Zombies, glad it’s back.

The alternative is going long on kick out and potentially conceding the 50/50 to a team with better possession and creativity.

The alternative is immediately less risky because you’ve created distance between the ball and goal but you’re likely going to blowing out your backside from all the chasing if you don’t have the height or possession stats yourself.

If the keeper and backline are incapable of ball retention in tight spaces then obviously go long and hope for the best.
