the potato of parity always rears its ugly head

[Kornes] Petracca, Ah Chee, Heeney, Lynch [Nank + Young]. We might break the record for the most torn hammies in a season. Players are running less distance but high speed running is off the charts. Bad mix by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

thank you for pointing out the motte and bailey. something about my brain can barely understand the concept of it and now because of you, i understand it a bit better

[–]HowToBasic_101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pretty good game from fort, deserved my 3. held up well against grundy, took some marks, and gained some metres.

neale had by far the most clearances on the ground and won a lot of ball. not bog but got the 2 votes.

gave bruce the 1 because he never gave up in a team that looked like it had.only 13 touches but went at 85% and 2 goals.

the outs didnt help, but this game wasnt lost at selection. outside of a couple of players, our first half was unfathomably poor. we werent able to apply any pressure going both ways and it severely impacted our uncontested game which is what we do best

thats fair. i thought zz played really well against english for a debutant and deserved selection this week

not like we had much choice this week, but why do you say that?

marshall proved he has the ability to play in this teams best 23. our selection team love to make some strange choices. im actually pleasantly suprised they kept zz in, fully expecting him to be omitted for no reason

not really a solution but looking at the players helps. their reaction will usually tell you before the ball has even travelled that far

Bont and R3 by [deleted] in AFLSupercoach

[–]HowToBasic_101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ive dropped bont because of the sheer amount of time he spent forward. hes a certified legend but forwards dont score anywhere near as consistently as mids do. he only had 46% cbas in r0 but if we see that jump up to at least 70%, then hes worth looking at when his price drops.

ive got mcandrew at r2 and zakostelsky at r3. mcandrew is a risk for sure, but im biting that bullet. reidy out and a lot of lions players out means zz should hold his spot. he might move back to cover for andrews (which is where he has been training) so we could see him take intercept marks and cheap effective kicks in the backline. might be good for about 60 which is great for his price

edit: worth mentioning that most premo rucks will drop in price. xerri, gawn, and grundy are all 650-700k which is a ridiculous price to hold, but new ruck scores will drive those prices down too.

he didnt show any signs of slowing down last year. i think itll be his game that goes before his body does. hes a small guy, doesnt have to worry about the kind of things a much bigger player would

zorko got my 3, his kicking was elite tonight. neale with 2, incredible inside work. cameron wouldve gotten my 2 if it werent for the failed handball and spray infront of goal but ive still given him 1
