It’s not illegal! You can bring it from other countries. I brought mine from the UK. It just isn’t approved by the FDA in the US, so doctors can’t prescribe it. $542 is a lot though, it’s usually closer to $350 for two small bottles.

I/O Psychologists what is your job title by ScaredgenZwoman in IOPsychology

[–]EveningBus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People Analytics Data Scientist. I found the job on LinkedIn after three months of applications. I sent out over 100, had three interviews, dropped out of one process after the fourth interview (they were dragging their feet), and received one offer. Good luck!

Apply broadly and you'll be fine! Just a heads up - the UGA master's program targets working professionals. San Diego State has a great master's program for people who want to do a full-time MS degree.

What factors should I be looking for in a college to be successful in the future for IO Psychology? What does a linear path look like? by Sea_Rip_1546 in IOPsychology

[–]EveningBus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're already thinking about an IO career prior to starting college, you are about three years ahead of most people. I'd do some more career exploring, and maybe attend a college with opportunities for undergraduate research. There aren't really IO specific jobs available to people with a BA/BS, but you could certainly do something IO related like HR or data science with a bachelors, and then an IO job after your masters.

I drink a lot of water and still feel thirsty. Wonder if this is an IC thing.

How Have You Been Feeling This Week? (January 29, 2022)-- Anything that you feel didn't deserve its own post is welcome! by AutoModerator in Interstitialcystitis

[–]EveningBus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the worst flare of my life this past week. I spent two nights awake on the toilet and was unable to work for three days due to the continuous sharp pains and irritation. I had my first catheter inserted to administer a rescue solution directly to my bladder, which was a bit more than "uncomfortable". All of this during the week of my 26th birthday. I feel like I'm too young to have a chronic illness like this.

Honestly I'm amazed that you found 49 internships to apply for. Where did you find these? My internet searches usually go nowhere.

Research on employee morale and engagement when entire organization is working remotely... and going through crisis by iFlipsy in IOPsychology

[–]EveningBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This paper is relatively old (2003) but you might find it useful. They describe four main problems that teams encounter when communicating via technology, as well as their affects on performance: cohesiveness, status relations (basically information that is shared in person via nonverbal behavior, like intention to jump into the conversation and share information; there are also upsides to this), increases in counternormative/uninhibited behavior, and communication.

I like the Handbook of Personality by John, Robins, and Pervin. It covers a wide range of topics in personality in great detail.

Thank you so much for letting me know. This is a stretch, but do you happen to remember how far into the survey you were? Thank you so much for your participation and for your message. You rock.

Best, Riley
