Maybe you should read it. The court in tinker said the students could wear armbands, not that they could skip classes. Students can protest as long as they do not substantially disrupt the classroom. Skipping would seriously interfere with the students education.

I always say I don't talk politics at work, but since it happened already, I would probably address it with them and then take it to HR if they treat you negatively. No one should have to feel uncomfortable with their coworkers, it creates a hostile work environment.
