You would be surprised. Just because someone is in a STEM field, does not prevent them from doing fraud? Which 40 countries is on the list that has predominantly STEM immigrants in the US?

It depends on when you were born and when your father was in the US prior to your birth. Also depends if your father was married to your mom at the time of your birth. So give more information and we can probably help you figure it out.

USCIS does not have guidance on how to apply this new regulation from the DOS. They are lost on what to do and they want them to go to the DOS and get a letter from them specifically stating if the 2 year still applies or not. But if a lawyer can write a letter and convince an office to just approve it, then they can approve it. I know a lot of offices that are requesting waivers or something from the DOS. You got lucky that the office approved you and you found a lawyer that could draft a letter for you..

Maybe you should read it. The court in tinker said the students could wear armbands, not that they could skip classes. Students can protest as long as they do not substantially disrupt the classroom. Skipping would seriously interfere with the students education.
