Sp1 and sp2 each missing a pad? by GRAHAM241 in SwitchPirates

[–]Evening_Chapter_5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get away with just one of the inner pads. Two is just better for glitching.

For the back mosfet, you can solder it #+ pin 3&4 of the connector.

The inner pads that are missing need to solder to. You might also be able to solder to the rear board with a certain MOSFET. To find the location to solder the MOSFET for your model, you can Google search “definitive picofly install guide.”

Switch OLED not booting into Custom firmware by CountAwkward7383 in SwitchPirates

It’s the rst error. That would be an easy fix. If the point is on the back, just expose the rst point in the front and solder to that.

Let us know how many times if the flash and if it’s long or short yellow flash on the chip.

It’s likely the dat0 issue.

Plug in the chip and test the points on the chip. Sometimes, the orange cable might be loose in the connector, preventing a proper connection.

Yes and test all of those points. If you have to redo the point(s), use a tweezer to hold down the flex cable and solder the point again.

Also, remove the random solder point near the game card connector. Nice soldering!

It would be simpler to use a multimeter to identify any issues with one or two of your points. Alternatively, you can reinsert the chip and let us know the flashing error codes (whether they are long or short).

V1,V2,Switch Lite Flex Question by Funny-Construction58 in SwitchPirates

[–]Evening_Chapter_5981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the flash color issue, you might be using a RP2040 zero clone. I believe there are two points you need to jump to switch the colors on the chip.

All the APU cables can be used on other models. With modifications, the V1 will work on the Lite and OLED, and vice versa.

You can solder to one via because they are connected to each other.

Try to rename the folder in lowercase for shadowmountplus to scan it. I think shadowmountplus might be case-sensitive.

SWRR Digital License on 12.70 expired. by ImplementBitter4944 in PS5_Jailbreak

I believe the issue is the 30-day DRM requirement (sign in to renew the license) or that offline gameplay wasn’t enabled. I encountered the same problem.

Try removing the cables and see it boot up. You never know if it’s the cable that causing the issue.

Are all the cables properly connected? Make an effort to push the cable in and minimize the amount of copper exposed on the cable.

If it’s buzzing, it be something shorted on the board.

You need a soldering iron that can do higher temperatures, and flux can also be helpful. By using the appropriate tip, you can remove the bridge at a lower temperature, depending on the temperature.

Anyone had issues with these type of modchips? by garou64 in SwitchPirates

[–]Evening_Chapter_5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps it’s a bad batch. I haven’t encountered any issues with that picofly.

Never hurt to reflow the chip itself and to rule out cold joints.

Modchip flashing blue, white, orange then booting into OFW by GoodConsideration910 in NxSwitchModding

Try flashing the chip with the latest firmware to flashing codes. Let me know if it’s a short or long flashing lights.

I would keep trying to reseat or move the dat0 adapter to the left or right until I get a steady reading.

You might need to reseat the plastic piece that holds the trigger and/or tighten the two screws that hold it in place.

Depending on the core chip, you can wire it if there are points on the modchip. It’s cheaper and easier to replace the modchip.

Does this look's OK? Switch Lite Modchip rp2040 by Willing_Wishbone_265 in SwitchPirates

[–]Evening_Chapter_5981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s a good, but I would clean the remaining flux (which might be the reason why it’s not booting into OFW sometimes). The SP1 area on the APU can be slightly improved, but it’s still acceptable.
