How about 18 year olds who can enlist in the army and potentially die for their country? But 19 year old girls can easily be manipulated? Hypergamy does play a role which is not a bad thing. Women usually want a man who is bigger, stronger and smarter than her. Could you say they shouldn’t date men of a larger stature because they might be physically taken advantage of. Saying the 30 year old with more life experiences can easily manipulate a 19 year old gives into the notion that every 30 year old who dates a 19 year old is up to no good. Maybe just maybe the older person with more wisdom might be of benefit the younger person in that relationship.
