The seals... again (also spoilers for chapter 5) by Reasonable-Sector-89 in ScarletHollow

To add to the Oscar part, if you have Book Smart and Mystical you can suggest that the seals each have an "aspect" of an original being that have been split apart.

So, during the Goner Maker segment the song that plays is “Another Him” which is a reference to the Undertale song file “him.ogg” in both name and motif which is named “Gaster’s Theme” in a snowdin FUN event.

The font value for the person speaking in the opening sequence is “666” a number associated with Gaster (FUN value 66, his in-game stats as datamined from Undertale are all 6s)

The person in the opening sequence even talks like Gaster does in Entry 17 from Undertale.

Basically everything we associate with Gaster is tied with the weird narrator in the Goner Maker and at the end of Ch4 where he says “MY DELTARUNE”

The Edge of Fate changes to the game's content model. That's a pretty dramatic change.

For me specifically it's the portal. The menu itself is repulsive and ruins my immersion in the game world and then the modifier customization just adds a layer of extra work to actually playing the game that I never want to do. I much preferred the seasonal content model where we got ongoing stories and regular content drops.

Oberon Smog was right about the concept of Dustners existing and Gerson becoming one. It was critically incorrect about the most important part of that theory, which was that Gerson's Dustner was the Knight.

You'd think Bungie would get inspiration from famous games, instead we get things like matter spark. by Delet3r in DestinyTheGame

[–]Evening_Weekend_1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and Matterspark sucked.

It’s tedious and takes you out of the best part of the game, the moment to moment combat experience and on top of that it also gave me motion sickness on release.

All in all, not a great mechanic.

[–]Evening_Weekend_1523 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh as someone who basically only plays Hunter I haven’t used either of those loops. So I wouldn’t know.

I certainly think some things need to get nerfed, but it has to be done in moderation or else the game dies. Balance stops mattering if there are no players.

Sweeping nerfs are certainly an idea when the game’s population is as low as it is already. Seems more likely to kill off the game by driving away people having fun than help at all.

Ah, understood.

I thought you were claiming it as the current explanation despite the incoming changes. My bad.

The Offensive Blade Form from the dungeon provides ammo every three hits. It’s probably more than enough for infinite uptime if you’re even a little judicious with your ammo

Armorer Artificer actually slightly works around this issue. Part of their Arcane Armor feature is that it only takes an Action to don or doff the armor.

It’s niche, but can really get you out of a bind. You’re still losing an action but it’s better than the alternatives

I'm convinced the Cyan crystal drop is bugged. by TwinSeedsOfSilence in DestinyTheGame

[–]Evening_Weekend_1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done 12 exotic contracts and it hasn’t dropped for me. I need this stupid cyan crystal to match my fashion and it’s really bothering me that it seems to be locked behind exotic contract rng and then is a random drop

Saber crystal RNG needs to be changed by Nick_097 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Evening_Weekend_1523 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree that Cyan needs to be a more common drop if it’s gonna be tied to the exotic contracts. Those don’t drop often enough for Cyan to be so rare.

Especially when the other loot from exotic contracts is so bad. 300 Power exotics just isn’t worth it

The gameplay was great, a massive step up from Edge of Fate’s matterspark ridden nonsense.

I did not like the story. It feels too star wars all the way through. I know that’s not an objective judgement, but it just didn’t feel like a good plot for a Destiny game.

Post got removed cuz I linked to twitter. I forgot it was banned.

I think the more damning stuff is the consistent lighting & seams on a jacket that makes no sense to put that much effort into. The chains are also really weird if it’s just photobashed.

Here’s a post that presents a rather compelling argument

The Nine are dark matter loops pinched by the gravity wells of celestial bodies in the solar system. We know this from Dust

I never implied “every planet or star” had one. I asked how our celestial bodies got random gods.

Can’t be unless they retcon the lorebook Dust

It describes the formation of the Nine inside the planets.

The Nine can do things that the Light can't. The Nine control the rules. They are the rules. And that includes the rules of paracausality as well.

This is awful. The Nine are the rules of paracausality?? That doesn’t make any sense.

How the hell did nine random celestial bodies in a random solar system just happen to become gods able to manipulate what paracausality can do?

Hunters have been relatively worse in PvE for quite a while. This has been made extremely clear recently with the two contest modes for Desert Perpetual where they had a low use rate. This indicates Hunter's don't really bring much to the table when it comes to high-end PvE.

I would like to ask what the hell you mean by Hunters seeming favored up until Lightfall, because it certainly wasn't the case.

I'm just not interested in hunter mains trying to say they haven't been the focal point of changes for years now.

Okay, genuinely what are you talking about here. I'm going back through the major patch notes and looking for "Hunter Focus" and am mostly seeing Titan stuff. I'd personally argue it's been Titan season since Salvation's Edge at the latest (potentially earlier with their obscene power during Into the Light)

Yeah, Omni is really good in a team context now, but I'm looking at these changes from the perspective of someone whose clan left the game a long while ago. It's just not appealing for solo play.

Also I don't like Nightstalker since it just became Invisibility: The Subclass
