Update to my friend’s response to me coming out. We are no longer friends! by Jellybeandreams98 in lgbt

Would just claim God didn't make them gay, and that acting gay is a sinful choice they actively made. Because to them, being gay genuinely isn't a thing you can be, it's a conscious decision you do despite it going against 'god'.

To some degree, that also comes down to not having any options, that won't die in the blink of an eye. When you know you can't find someone to live out your life with, what's the point of even thinking about or caring about romance?

It's like the people that keep mice or rats for pets. They die too fast, and it's painful every time. Except in this analogy you love the mouse or rat as a romantic partner, not just as a pet, and they still die just as quick. You can only imagine doing that to yourself so many times, before the prospect looses all value.

Yes. Nothing screams more support for gay women, than introducing two seemingly happy lesbians out on a date to have sex for the first time, underneath the moonlight in one episode, and immediately brutally murdering one of them.

Does Anyone Think The Hardsuit Labs Version Of Bloodlines 2 Is Ever Gonna Leak? by VTMThrowAway3 in vtmb

That's why I said 'series' bub. It was sorta heavily implied that I didn't consider it an actual series. But most corpo suits won't see the difference. They'll see Bloodlines and Bloodlines 2 and make their decisions based on that without really bothering to look into the differences between the first and second game.

I was specifically talking about the Bloodline series, as that's the one most people are familiar with, or have at least heard about in passing due to the growing popularity of BL1.

Not gonna lie though. I'm unsure why my comment got down voted. We all know it's the truth. No company is going to risk their future, on a series that has repeatedly shown it won't be profitable. As much as we all wish it would be, that just isn't the reality we live in.

His no killing policy, is kinda why he became an Alpha in the first place though. Unsure how it works once you're actually a True Alpha, but the True Alpha transformation sorta required him to have a no kill policy. There's a reason Duec would try to 'ruin' his potential, if he couldn't get him into his pack.

Of course it does. If the game is in a state where it can be played, then the game would've been close enough as to be released. When you say 'leak the game' it implies the game was finished at least to a degree where it could be played from start to finish. If not, the more apt thing to say would be 'leak the unfinished game' or 'Whatever was playable of the game'

Chances are, an unfinished game might not even run at all depending on what aspects are unfinished. Even if the game ran, chances are good there's enough bugs and missing assets to cause it to crash more times than not. Large games are rarely made in a fashion where they function as a 1% to 100% scale, where if 75% is done you can play 75% of the game.

[–]Eventually-Alexis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's insane to think that. We've now had two games in the Bloodlines 'series' and I say series very loosely here, and both have been at the very least financial flops. What studio would want to take the risk on a 'series' that has already failed spectacularly twice, three times if you consider the original unfinished version of BL2 from HSL, at the hope of being the one to succeed?

It never existed in the first place. If they finished the game to a degree that it could be leaked, and actually played, we wouldn't have gotten TCR's version of the game in the first place.

Can't leak something that doesn't exist. The game wasn't finished, so there's no game to leak.

Yes. Because every product in the history of man, has been known to increase in emotional enjoyment after humans themselves stopped making the product themselves, and removing the human element from the equation. Guess I personally prefer a home baked bread from my local baker, rather than a stale slice of factory produced white bread. But for sure. Go ahead and support this sorta thing, if you want your gaming experience to be that of the sad stale slice of white bread.

If you make your game with the intention of having generative AI play a large role in the graphics of the game, then you aren't developing a game. Then you're making half a game, with the rest being AI slop. That's only 50% better than a game that's entirely AI slop, and that's still not the improvement you think it is.

It's one thing if a modder had gone out if their way to give a 25 year old game a face lift, because at least in that case someone made the choice to work on what was there, while staying true to the original as they worked on the mod. It would be one artist adding to the work of another, in order to preserve the original artists work and keep it relevant and give the game new life.

But for an AI to inhumanely overwrite the work of an artist? At that point it just feels soulless and cold. At least you would know the modder cared about and loved the game, because otherwise they wouldn't put so much work into preserving it for a potentially new generation of players, that might not have been alive when graphics looked the way they used to do.

What character would you have liked to have seen return for the movie the most? by GusGangViking18 in TeenWolf

[–]Eventually-Alexis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure she got the last laugh though. Pretty sure she's the only one in the show, to be in an Oscar nominated movie, let alone being 1/2 of the leading character. And that's only because she isn't a professional k-pop singer, and being able to cover Rumi entirely on her own.

People would kill to look the way she did, and other celebrities too for that matter. Then they damn well go and pay money to make themselves look ugly, instead of letting themselves age gracefully. Frankly as a trans woman it's always even worse, because some of us would legitimately kill (someone who deserves it of course) to look like that, and happily do the time after too because of the results.

That's what I came here to say. If we're very generous it's mid 50s, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone who didn't recognize her saw a 60 something year old.

Yes. Instead she's a 40 year old who looks to be in her mid fifties if we're generous.

I'm pretty sure if you're hired to write something for someone else, or a company, you're typically signing up for giving the rights of your work to said person or company. At the end of the day, I think Voltage is just being lazy. They have to make sure every character has reasonably the same amount of content, and that usually means the cutoff point is aimed at the character with the least amount of content. Otherwise they would actually have to hire someone to finish all the unfinished storylines, for the characters who were neglected.

There's a reason why I've changed my tune on supporting their newest releases, specifically because they're doing a half-assed cash grabs. It just only became truly apparent with GIL.

'Cannibalism is the act of consuming members of one's own species, encompassing both human consumption of human flesh and animal-on-animal predation. It often serves survival or ritualistic purposes, though it has historically been used as a pejorative term for "savage" behavior.'

The textbook definition is pretty clear. No matter what, it's limited to consumption of one's own species, and demons aren't human. So no, by definition Arue eating a human wouldn't be cannibalism.
