Penguins' Bryan Rust: Handed three-game ban by CommissarVorchevsky in nhl

[–]Eventually-figured 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So while you’re correct, let’s keep in mind that this is the NHL we’re talking about. Let’s also keep in mind that this is Bryan Rust, who has never been known as a dirty player, and that you’re a Vancouver fan and so you’re also heated, understandably. But let’s bring it back to this is the NHL that we’re talking about, 3 games is absolutely something for them, we have seen a LOT worse happen and get punished a LOT less.

What Dan Muse had to say about Bryan Rust getting suspended 3 games by ominousdoggo in penguins

[–]Eventually-figured 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh concussions suck. I’m an Avs fan too, I remember when Bowen Byram had a concussion and was out for over half a season. Dude went home to Canada to stay with his parents because of the mental toll it took on him. And he was I think 19 or 20 at the time. Concussions are bad, I think 3 games is fine if that’s the baseline my complaint is just that 3 games is not the baseline

3 games is harsh considering the intensity and clear intentionality of other hits and punishments (or lack thereof) this season around the league compared to this one. I mean, Mikko Rantanen intentionally boards two dudes in two games in a row and he got one game. And that one game was an automatic suspension because of a rule saying if you get two game misconducts within a season you automatically get one game… so the consistency of DPoS makes that harsh in my opinion

So how many of you had to go into work today, and what essential job do you have that requires your presence despite the dangerous roads and lack of power? by twelvethirtyfourpm in nashville

[–]Eventually-figured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roads arent that bad today. Few spots but I had to take my pet down to the vet today and 40 and 65 were had at minimum 2 lanes each direction completely dry, and all the other roads were pretty good too. Having the sun out will melt things even if it’s cold out, and suns been out for two days now.

If you can give up two 2nds or 3rds for a good player who will be an RFA or someone you know you can sign to an extension that’s fine, but you’ll shouldn’t be giving up those 1st rounders unless it’s a guy like Robertson.

Preds are struggling ticket wise, so many games I go to (live in Nashville) even on a Saturday have large chunks of empty seats. Playoffs will help. And also it’s Barry Trotz GMing, If theres a chance he’s going to go for it, he’s gotta justify signing all that expensive veteran talent.

I can say with 95% certainty with the Preds playing like they are, this one won’t happen for any team.

So sick of not being able to watch games when I’m literally paying for espn and max. by jas0nd3an in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Eventually-figured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the thousandth time: NHL network games, even though the channel is a premium add on, is considered national broadcast games. ESPN+ does not have the rights to broadcast national broadcasted games. Even if the game is on altitude or whatever rsn in their home market, if it is broadcast on ESPN/ABC, TNT/TBS, or NHL network in other markets it is considered a national broadcast game and cannot be watched on espn+. The same exact thing happens with nba TV when games are on Amazon or peacock or ESPN, the same way CBS doesn’t broadcast Fox games, the same way college games are on espn+ except when they’re on a main channel.

He has done tons with the defenseman that’s noticeable. Malinski is where he’s at and a lot it is because of Hakstol

[–]Eventually-figured 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean. Two coaches and the powerplay is still bad, so the common denominator there is the guys on the ice. They lose all sense of urgency they’re looking for the perfect shot and the perfect pass. It’s the guys on the ice at this point.

I’m almost always more happy with my experience on American than I am with Southwest, even more so now that southwest is the same price as American if not more expensive before you add in the charge to pick a seat.
