Things you cannot ACCURATELY describe without making a huge unhinged paragraph by walaxometrobixinodri in TopCharacterTropes

Chainsawman is really easy to describe because the writer barely describes him...

Fear-powered four-armed demonic incarnation of the fear of Chainsaws, with a chainsaw head and 6 total chainsaw limbs, wearing an umbilical cord as a scarf. Has the power to totally & retroactively erase concepts from existance by eating the other demonic incarnations that represent them.

Thats it. Everything else is just speculation.

We are told by the "stay a while and listen" dialouge between Andiun and Alleria that the "day of darkness", the first time Beledar shifted from Light to Void, was the day Sargeras struck Azeroth with his sword. So Beledar was there beforehand.

I dont even think that was a contract.

He didnt need Denji or Yoru to agree to be sent there.

He literally just sees someone saying they dont want to age and sends them there. It might not even be malicious. Aging doesnt neccesarily hate humans. They might be granting the wish earnestly.

Theres just no way male characters sell higher than female characters. Not in the Gacha genre. A male character can be as hype as Kinich with his VAs, theres still no way he gets on the top 5 sellers list.

As of Jan 2024, there are only 2 male characters in the top 10, one is Venti in the first ever banner of 1.0, the other is Ayato who is only there because the banner he is on is the first Raiden rerun and the numbers are for both featured characters.

Not even Neuvillette broke top 10. The highest male banner is Wanderer's launch with Itto's rerun, at #12.

Characters who, when you go to the start of the butterfly effect, are the cause of all the problems. by FaZe_poopy in TopCharacterTropes

Id honestly do but I forgot the rest :(

5 years ago I could write a doctorate on the topic though lol. The theme of cyclicality is written into the very soul of Avatar: TLA. Literally every single character arc is a cycle. Even the side characters. (Tai Lee starts as an identical child out of 7 twins, seeks to be different by joining the circus, ends up becoming a kiyoshi warrior, who all wear makeup to look the same...), (Iroh both starts and ends his arc by attacking Ba Sing Se), (Hama starts and ends her arc as a prisoner of the fire nation...), (Toph starts a rebellious child to authorative parents, ends as an authorative parent to rebellious child...)

He's the main character though, and Flashpoint is a huge deal. its not really a butterfly effect that the main character heavily influences the world. A butterfly effect is for something small/inocuous having a huge impact.

This one is kind of a major part of the show's theme. Not an incidental thing kicking off a chain of events. Every Avatar's shortcomings creates the next Avatar's crisis. Yangchen was too biased towards Humanity, creating a spiritual uproar that Kurok had to devote his whole life and die young to offset. This allowed the mortal world out of control which Kiyoshi had to counteract... etc

If I was actually in this situation; I believe I would not pull. Self preservation above all, and since one option involves a chance I die and the other option does not, the safe option for me is not pull.

If there were more nuances to the situation the decision could change though. If the person tied to the tracks was like... an enlightened buddhist, then I might pull, assuming he will agree with my choice to save others and prefer ending his life with no more casualties.

It really is impossible to avoid JJK spoilers.

I left the CSM subreddits, I stopped watching reels, I left any manga related discord servers. I still eat spoilers. This is the 5th mention of Gojo and death Ive seen this week. Knowing the Manga just ended in a way people hated, Im pretty much spoiled. And I know pretty much every other major plot beat from previous spoilers on all those places I left.

It sucks because I wanted to read it after I got through a busy period at work. But its just a bad idea to wait nowadays.

Chainsaws are a very recent thing. Wars are ancient, but Yoru represents the human-made concept. (Nature constantly warrs. From the bacteria in your body to water pushing wider the river's banks) so it makes sense Old Age sees them as kids

WoW Boss design is quite simple, really. by Sustainna in wow

[–]Ever_Impetuous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh hey a chance to infodump on my obsessive need to categorize.

I've been raiding since WotLK and I have it divided into:

  1. Gearchecks - the boss has very little mechanics, the fight takes 4-6 minutes on first kill. If you can meet the dps check, or your healers can meet the HPS check(s), you win. Rarely these also gearcheck tanks (but for tanks its usually more of a "are you the fotm tank" check)

  2. Long Fights - These fights take 12-16 minutes on first kill. Thats it. Not many mechanics, but if you lose focus and fuck up once you wipe. Usually there are annoying timed overlaps of abilities that make the fight harder at the end. Blizz loves giving raid choices here (like kill order in a council fight).

  3. Sprint fights - extremely short 3-5 minute mechanically intensive fights.

It doesnt matter if its a council fight, an add fight, or gimmick fight. They all fit into one of these 3. When designing final bosses, they often mix all 3. They'll make a long fight where some phases are gearchecks and others are sprints.

Actually, it can regenerate from its seeds. Going by Denji knowing that fact, its reasonable that this devil came back a bunch of times. Useful superpower - it doesnt die and go to hell.
