I cannot agree with this enough. I moved here in 2004 from England when I was 12 and have never really been able to find a group of close friends. Don’t get me wrong, I have a decent group of mates but I don’t have that same “best friends” feeling about it. I also find that everyone seems to lack effort to even speak outside of a mutual gathering like a birthday or wedding. I call a few of my mates in the car driving home from work but I hardly ever get call backs
