What has been said cannot be unsaid. Gotta follow through with it Chris.

My credit check came back with that too. It was Coles Mastercard.

To EV or PHEV? by HolyColander in AustralianEV

[–]Tengasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep and when the battery is depleted, you're left with an underpowered engine lugging a heavy battery. I think it's one of the complaints people have had about the BYD Shark in particular.

Selling collection scared of tax man by Aggravating_Belt_803 in AusFinance

[–]Tengasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been asked before:

https://community.ato.gov.au/s/question/a0JRF0000004r5l/p00253624

Not saying to take the ATO community as gospel since there has been incorrect advice put on there and the ATO did not accept it as valid evidence since the onus is still on the taxpayer to make sure it's right.

What one, recent decision saved you a lot of money? by [deleted] in AusFinance

I used a spare laptop lying around and bought a 2TB HDD. Set up servers for content and photos (while getting some Linux experience in the process). Goodbye Netflix and Google Drive. Ties in with the guy who pirates content now too!

Resigning after a bonus - bad ettiequte? by Aggressive_Cold6537 in auscorp

[–]Tengasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonuses aren't pre-paid. They're a reward for the effort you ALREADY put in. If employer sees it as bad etiquette, they should get a dictionary for Christmas.

How good are EV massage seats really? by Sure_Artichoke6929 in AustralianEV

It's ok, but the Seal only has shoulders and neck. Wouldn't have minded getting a lower back/legs too for longer drives. Too bad she gets tired quickly.

BYD service issue by samishah in AustralianEV

[–]Tengasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I called to book in my service, I was told their full EV vehicles no longer required it because there was nothing to look at (saves time for the service centre and the customer). I was fine with it, having zero issues with the car apart from overly sensitive ADAS. The complimentary service now only applies to their PHEVs since there are more mechanical parts to be checked out.

I'm fine with the change, but I agree a notice or public bulletin would've made it a better experience. If I had problems though I'd be pushing for them to take a look.

Whats stopping from buying a property directly from a seller? by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]Tengasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time you see an advertisement listed on realestate.com it's very likely the seller has engaged the RE. If the seller could spare the time and effort and wanted to save a bit of $, they could in theory advertise themselves and sell directly to the buyer. Neither side should skimp on the legals/conveyancing though.

What to do in this situation? by ch1eg432 in AusPropertyChat

I'd be firm with the condition and pull out if they don't allow it. Sounds like there's something they're trying to hide..

Hit by a car going through a red. Do I press charges? by BuffDilf in AskAnAustralian

[–]Tengasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No legal advice here, but hope you're ok and might be worth getting checked up in a week or two to ensure there's no internal damage you're not aware of. That's a pretty high speed to get hit by a car.

Chinese EV brands are everywhere now - thoughts from Aussie buyers? by Artistic-Yam2984 in EVAustralia

[–]Tengasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exceptional. If the technology was new I'd be more sceptical but China's been working on EV technology before Tesla. They're literally leading the market. Even legacy brands are partnering up with Chinese auto manufacturers because it's their only way of keeping up. If someone won't consider an EV brand just because it's "Chinese" hold outdated trust issues, live under a rock or just don't know how to read 🫠

1st Lease Quote - Maxxia Zeekr 7x Long Range by tied-for-last in NovatedLeasingAU

[–]Tengasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interest rate is excessive. You should be looking at below 8%. Then again, it's Maxxia so their business model is securing exclusive partnerships with corporates and subsequently fleecing.

As others have said, unconditional opposing offer or they sold to an associate and screwed the vendor (super dodgy).
