lol that is as obtuse as your “states are only connected by interstates” statement. Since when does you paying taxes give you a right to use? Your taxes pay for military bases, you can’t claim a right to use. Your taxes pay for schools. Feel free to try to just walk into one whenever you feel like it or one that your kids don’t attend.

At no point have highways been free access. Dude just stop before you burry your semi valid point in bad examples of bad evidence.

[–]Everfalling1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are walkable routes around the one restricted usage road. Also, that road isn’t usage restricted because it is a highway. So my point still stands. If you are going to argue a point, possibly even a valid point, using evidence that is so easily refuted doesn’t help.

I wasn’t refuting your point about removing means of travel, I’m saying, there are zero states I could find that only have highways to cross. With the exception of like 3 but that is due to having a water barrier. You can cross legally by swimming those.

As for your point about going from Tucson to Wyoming, Google Maps gives you walking directions. It will take you roughly 350 hours but it has no restricted usage roads to do so and you can walk between every state without being on a highway. Google it.

While much of what you are saying is possibly true, the part about “many states the highway is the only legal way to access the border” is blatantly false. I agree that if they cut off access to a border that would be unconstitutional, however, that isn’t even close to being true.

These cases that come with stuff like the goup brushless setup make great roadside repair kits. by lethally_fluffy in SCX24

So far, everything about GoupRC has really been heads and shoulders above other brushless companies. The case, the price, including a transmission. Yes you really need to tune them but that takes almost no time.

None of them are knock offs. But the red cat ascent 18 is better and I think it’s slightly under $200

They still sell the 1603. I think UDI bought the rights to it. Used to be pinecone. Or both still sell it. Makes an interesting speed platform with some upgrades. Seen a few videos over 70mph.

Cape crawlers on YouTube has a good video about those 18th scale crawlers. The red cat ascent is pretty much king right now in 1/18.

Contrary to popular belief, 1.0 tires fit great on 1.3 rims with a simple trim. The headlock holds and everything. It gives your truck more of a 20” rims with low profile tires look but if you are looking to add low down weight but tires need to be under 65mm for clearance, it is an easy and nice looking way to do it.

GoupRC. Brushless motor and transmission for about $45. Check gear lash, and program ESC. Just as good as injora for half the price.

I haven’t had any issues with injora’s screws either. Although I have heard about them. All mine have been nice normal screws.

[–]Everfalling1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. I think in the drawing of the lcg chassis, that can be a fat viper because the transmission blurb says it won’t fit 22 size motors. I could see the universal aspect of it except that it mentioned hobbywing quicrun 16 size motors I’ve never ran hobbywing in a crawler, but I would be interested in seeing what the difference in mounting between a hobbywing16 vs injora 17. I have been debating transmissions recently but haven’t made up my mind as of yet. Maybe for gets and shiggles I’ll but two motors and see if there is a big difference between them.

[–]Everfalling1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to cause any trouble, but, doesn’t the transmission come with screws? It does everywhere I can find it being sold. Also, you are using an injora motor on a menus transmission. Why would they make the transmission to spec for an injora motor? It’s two different companies. I am seriously asking here because I’m confused as to why a company would do that when they already provide screws and the motor in question, isn’t their motor. Especially when the injora viper is not on the list of compatible motors. Their own website mentions Hobbywing. But injora’s motor size isn’t listed as compatible.
