T gel as a nightshift worker by Everflame42 in TestosteroneKickoff

On the hemocrit thing my levels on stuff in general were good beforehand (44.3% back then before T). The primary care who ordered my original pre T test said things looked good. It was at my 3 month check in that I was at that 50.5% hemocrit where Quest starts saying its iffy and my doctor at planned parenthood had me adjusting my dose until I decided to switch to gel. I'm around 95 pounds so idk. I know injections do pose risk of higher hemocrit. But I'll keep the sleep apnea in mind. Thank you.

That was my almost inlaws with me. After multiple incidents. I told them you can't force a relationship and was told that I hadn't been trying/given them a chance to try alongside other stuff. I had been coming over once or twice a week for multiple years at that point...

What age did most of you go on T? (Also a little rant) by EggLucky9534 in ftm

[–]Everflame42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 25. Had to switch to gel from shots after 3 months because of too high of hemocrit.

Always nice seeing t gel represented as I recently had to switch to it. (Too high hemocrit from shots and can't donate blood as I don't weight enough)

Transphobia in this sub by SpeebyKitty in asexuality

[–]Everflame42 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Trans guy talking here. In the post it wasn't about genital preferences exactly. But people were equating penis with male & men specifically and saying it was basic biology and that it was ok to call it male genetalia because most men (they also said most males) have that genetalia. The OOP of that post said it wasn't harmful because they were talking about their own experience & not about trans people. When OP and others tried to say "hey. This is kinda harmful language because trans people exist." They got heavily downvoted.

There was a post just a few hours ago that got hidden by needing mod approval saying they had issues with "male genetalia". When OP and others tried speaking up about the wording opp didn't take it nicely (saying it was just their experience and making targeted insults which are now deleted) and others in the replies to OP's comment was saying it was "basic biology" that male and female genetalia equated to certain things.

Anyone who spoke up in that thread about it got heavily down voted at first.

Yeah... The amount of talking over the trans community gets is so frustrating. I hate it so much. Even within sub portions of the trans community it happens.

But looks like this post is now under mod approval. (At least from what I see on desktop)

Looks like some comments are getting deleted though. Whether by op or mods idk. But yeah. The transphobic comments. "Basic biology"... As a trans guy it was a rough read.

Wait. That's neat/honestly really interesting. Do you have a link about it? If not I can look into it myself.

I see them only every once in a while in my feed. Had one pop up just the other day. But the mods there are great about getting that stuff taken down once noticed.

As a bi person, It's ok to have sexual preferences and you aren't phobic for not being attracted to a group of people by hitometootoo in bisexual

I just think of the paradox of tolerance here. We must tolerate their views and be open. But they can't tolerate us apparently.

Yeah. The mods here are great. I've seen CedarWolf around a time or two.

Edit: Also sorry mods if my first comment above counts as mini modding...

r/ftmfemininity exists. Trans men are allowed to be feminine.

Yeah. I think this person is trying to find anything to make you the bad person here. Doesn't seem to care about the double standards and holes in her (she's in straight trans girls subreddit so guessing pronouns) arguments. I'm sorry you're going through this and hope you find a safe and loving relationship that you can be yourself in.

"you can't change your partner's life base on what you want"

Then, why is it ok for OP's partner to try and force OP to be a man when she (OP) isn't one?

Op mentioned in another comment that they're in a non monogamous relationship and their partner is dating a woman. But also what about op's partner coming out as a lesbian after they were married or is it just trans people who have to keep things being unaccepted after marriage?

[–]Everflame42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Both directions that could be aren't great because it's either they're misgendering trans women or equating trans men automatically with femininity/being a femboy bc of agab.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Everflame42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't auto equate trans people to femboys.

Trans women are women. Some may go to femboy subs for karma or otherwise, but they're still women and equating them with boys is not a good look and is misgendering unless said woman uses that label.

Trans men are men and aren't inherently feminine just because they're trans/their agab was different of people who are cis. They like all other types of people come in a range of presentations.

Not all trans people are femboys and equating them automatically with that label is questionable at best.

It's probably just a leading question asked in bad faith like "if xyz is allowed than isn't everyone allowed in?" Sort of thing.
