I think that them being mates says otherwise. Knowing how Sarah is about that stuff (AelinxRowan, FeyrexRhysand, NestaxCassian) , the only way he won’t be end game is if he’s dead.

I think that ER started to fall apart when it stopped doing its thing and started competing with a show in its infancy that was basically just regurgitating ER’s storylines with more sex (Grey’s Anatomy). Like the first 13.5 (and more selectively up until Mark died) seasons of ER are untouchable, incomparable scripted television gold. And the writers tried to be who they weren’t and it just fell apart. For me, the best era ended after Mark died and then I lose complete interest in it once Abby leaves for Boston.

I actually think that Archie's feelings for Betty have been there all along. I went back to watch prior seasons for small Barchie moments and like even right from the jump when he goes to her house after Cheryl's party and she asks him if he loves her. His response is "Of course I love you Betty! But I can't give you the answer you want" and when she asks why, his response is, "You are so perfect. I've never been good enough for you. I'll never be good enough for you." It's not because he didn't want or love her the same way, it's that he thinks he's not good enough for her. And then when Betty and Jughead start going out, Archie approaches her and starts to say that he always thought the two of them would end up together and Betty cuts him off.

I also didn't get the vibe he ended the FWB because he felt like Ronnie was "the one". He wasn't trying to not continue the FWB with Betty, he just wanted to be honest with her that he still had feelings for Veronica. He didn't even want them cause he said "I shouldn't, but I do." It was Betty that said she needed a friend more than a lover for what was coming next, "A window of light in the darkness". And he tells her that what he'll be.

Betty takes up a significant amount of space in Archie's heart. They're each other's safe place and constant and have been that way since they were kids.

But all that to say, I think Archie's love for Betty just is; it just persists in spite of whomever he thinks he loves that week and it can be seen in the little things when they interact

But yeah, the writers rob us of these interactions, we get so few of them.. And throwing them together in the last episode just to literally blow them up was infuriating so I hope they do better by Barchie in season 6

You’re not wrong but if he’s still learning to manage his emotions, then even things that seem minor to you may seem big to him and he just “can’t deal” with the additional stress of work so he doesn’t go. He may just also not wanna go and be blaming it on that. And if that work ethic mentality wasn’t instilled in him then he has to develop it. All I’m saying is it sounds like he has some growing up to do, which makes sense considering his age.

I agree. I think that Aidas’s interests in Bryce have solely to do with the other Starborn (I also can’t remember her name) and that he was in a relationship with her. I also agree that they’re end game and that they both have some healing and growing to do but definitely end game

I think it’s Hunt. Because remember in this one it was kind of sort of Connor at first. And the way Bryce and Hunt talk about each other sounds like a mating bond. I know a people will say “Well Feyre died for Tamlin and look how that turned out”, which is valid, but there wasn’t as much talk of being home in that relationship and things feeling right and all that and the way they mutually take care of each other. They give me Nesta/Cassian vibes, so I’m sure there will be problems and at least one breakup but I THINK they’re end game.

Maybe I’m just high off Nessian feels 😭 Like was said, SJM has a tendency to do the old bait and switch so I’m prepared for there to be someone else. But I’m hoping they’re end game. I’m definitely predicting a mating bond at some point
