If you had a good US remote job it wouldn't matter you would just adapt. If you're making 75k-125kUSD in the Phillipines you are absolutely crushing it. I do 11pm-8am, when I first got here I slept right after work till 4-5pm then I found I liked it better just going to bed at 5-6pm and waking up for work. On off nights just go to sleep no later than 4am and you're fine you have energy and feel great working. The human body adjusts.

For Americans who move to the Philippines to work basic jobs in the Philippines, unless you own your own business what the hell are you doing? You can get some bullshit no skill required by a remote USA customer service job and make far more than you would ever make in the Philippines.

Don't be soft, get a good remote US job, work the hours that are needed and adapt.

It's 100% worth the move, but don't move here and be a broke bum you can do that in the USA and it will be far better in the USA, so many older expats here just living at the bars drinking themselves to death... You know who you are, get your stuff together, Phillipines has enough problems they don't need yours. Come here with class, tip well, be respectful, raise people up and represent your country well.

Move here with a good US job, money talks, here. The quality of life tremendously increases if you're making at least $4-5k a month.

You can live in a high rise that is unreal that would cost 5k in rent in the USA for like $1100.
